  1. Thanks for the input, yes did mean Progress and it may have gotten better the last time we cruised was pre covid
  2. We are booked on the Glory out of New Orleans, leaving on July 2nd, we are really looking forward to visiting Key West Florida ,Nassau been there once didn't do an excursion but this time we are. Freeport we've never been there but from what I've seen online and reviews where you're just going to stay on the ship. When we look at a cruise, is for ports of call that we enjoy and also ports that we've never been to. The reason we booked this one is because of key West and we've never been there so we sacrificed basically two ports just to go to Key West Florida. That being said in the past we usually book cruises that go to Cozumel and the one port that I will never book again is Yucatan we've been there three times and we haven't enjoyed it yet.

    Golfcart ?

we were thinking about renting a golfcart for a few hours while we are in Key West, would this be advisable are would it just be better to walk. Thanks for any input
  4. Is cruise cash worth the trouble, have always just deposited cash to my S and S account. Just thinking about buying some Cruise cash so we are already set when we get on board. I just don't want to have to forfeit any unused portion that we don't spend.
  5. Heck I may start staying onboard the ship on all the port days.
  6. I have a feeling that Freeport maybe a lot Yucatan, we try to avoid cruises that go their.
  7. This sounds like the best excursion that we could do Staying on the ship sounds like the #1 excursion in Freeport then. Sold!!!
  8. We are thinking that we will just stay on the Glory in July during our port day in Freeport, I know that a lot of cruisers sometimes do this, what happens on the ship when most of the passengers are at the port. I guess what's there to do.
  9. Thanks for the update in the review we have sailed out of New Orleans twice and you're correct embarkation is usually a breeze, we sell on the glory July 2nd this will be our first cruise post covid can't wait thanks for your opinions and your update
  10. Yep, from your explanation and experience if we were all the same it would be a boring boring world
  11. Weve have only cruised on the Fantasy and Conquest class, and I'm looking to book the Jubilee in June of 2024. My question is will it be overwhelming?
  12. On our last cruise on the last night l hit on the Triumph, more than payed for the cruise same day won 1100 on the Blackjack table
  13. I'm looking to by a Tag or Rolex, If the price is right compared to my research and they have my choices available on the ship then I may make the purchase. But if the past repeats itself Ill leave home without my watch as I have in the past 4 cruises 3 on CCL and 1 on RC.
  14. Unless something goes terribly wrong, we should have money left over, I booked a casino offer that included Drinks on us anywhere on the ship ,200 OBC and 1000 casino credit. And we deposit cash on our S n S account, so other than initial booking we try to never apply any charges to the credit card. I guess it's just a comfort level of having Just in case cash on hand if its needed.
  15. Thats what I'm doing at this very moment while I'm working nights and surfing the old interweb, Thanks
  16. I've always snooped at the jewelry shops while on board, Im always shopping for a watch while on board but never can pull the trigger because I don't know if the savings are better than I can do else were.
  17. Yep, I agree, we are able to do what I consider 1 big vacation every couple of years so when were on vacation I don't want to have to say no if the family is wanting to do something that they otherwise wouldn't normally get to do, within in reason, this well be our first cruise back post covid and can't wait.
  18. I guess I've been doing it wrong, make me feel like I've been going way over budget. I usually bring 500 for souvenirs and 200 a day for the casino, 75 a day for DS sail and sign, 250-300 for DW spa day, no specialty dining, then about 150 for extra tips, I have to rethink my habits and spending. also 200 for pictures LOL
