  1. Carnival Cruise Line is dedicated to the safety of all guests and crew. We want all our guests to have a safe, fun and memorable vacation. Smoking is a fire and safety hazard on a ship. Consequently, it is strictly limited to specific exterior deck areas. All guests are expected to adhere to the following safety guidelines: All staterooms and suite accommodations, including outside balconies, are NON-SMOKING. This policy applies to all forms of smoking, including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, pipes, vaporizers, electronic cigarettes and marijuana. Carnival recognizes that some state and local governments in the U.S., and in the destinations we visit, might allow marijuana use. However, Carnival Cruise Line follows U.S. federal law, which strictly prohibits possession and use of recreational/medicinal marijuana and other illegal controlled substances. Any violation of this policy will result in a $500 charge, per violation, posted on the guest’s Sail & Sign® account and may also result in the disembarkation of all guests in the stateroom. Guests who are disembarked for violating our policy will be responsible for all financial charges and expenses to return home, and no refund of their unused cruise fare will be provided. Additionally, they may be prohibited from sailing with Carnival Cruise Line in the future. Casino rules: There is no smoking in the casino unless seated and playing. It is not allowed at the casino bar or in the entire area when closed. Our smoking policy is included in Carnival's Cruise Ticket Contract. Follow the link for ship specific smoking areas. In keeping with U.S. federal law, the minimum age to purchase tobacco products is 21. This policy is for U.S.-based itineraries/ships only. Frequently Asked Questions What happens if a guest is caught smoking in a stateroom or balcony? They will be assessed a $500 charge, per violation, on their Sail & Sign® account. Information on this charge is included in Section 8 of Carnival’s Cruise Ticket Contract. The assessment of this charge does not allow a guest to continue smoking in his/her stateroom. If a guest is found to be in violation of our smoking policy, all guests in the stateroom may be disembarked from the vessel and risk not being allowed to sail on Carnival in the future. Guests will be responsible for all financial charges and expenses to return home, and no refund of unused cruise fare will be provided. What should guests do if they smell tobacco in areas where smoking is not allowed, or marijuana in any area? Guests who are concerned about other guests violating our smoking policy should contact our onboard Guest Services team, so we can address the situation. This will help avoid uncomfortable situations between guests. What if a guest has a letter from a doctor saying that they are allowed to use marijuana for medicinal and/or therapeutic purposes? Why is that prohibited? Marijuana on our ships is not allowed. While certain CBD products used for medicinal purposes may be legal in the US, they are not legal in all the ports we visit and therefore are also considered prohibited items. Guests will need to consult with their physician for other suitable alternatives.
  2. We will be sailing on July 2 on the Glory. KeyWest. Freeport and Nassau, Myself, DW and DS 15yo, we are beach people so excursions if any will be just that if we do anything in the Bahamas. KeyWest we will probably just go on our own. But my question what is the average budget that people bring and spend on a 7-day cruise while on the ship, I'm the only drinker and that's on carnival this trip due to my casino offer. I'm thinking 3500 for the 7 days my reasoning for this is that on most of our 5-day cruises in the past I usually bring 2500 and depending on how the beating goes from the Casino I usually have around 300-500 left at the end of the 5 days before we disembark
  3. I don't care for the casino smoke myself; I grew up in the 70s were both my parents smoked and on family trips it was always headed down the highway with all the windows rolled up, I'm sure it looked like a Chic and Chong movie when they stopped the car and let us out for air. LOL so I guess that's why I didn't ever take up the habit. But I still spend my money in the casino and most of the time I can find a table are machine that is okay without any issues.
  4. Just really no rhyme or reason we were always able to use our birth certificates, we've been on 6 cruises now and that's what we've always used I'm not opposed to getting one., I've done the math and you're right it's not that expensive we have a family of six and I think it was going to be roughly around $890 or so which is cheap for the Peace of mind, we may end up getting them
  5. Just found it on CCL, Thanks for the reply. "Also acceptable for cruise travel (for cruises that begin and end in a U.S port), U.S. citizens can show proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate issued by a government agency and accompanied by government-issued photo identification. If the cruise includes air travel to or from Canada, a valid, unexpired U.S. passport is required. Guests who have committed or been convicted of a crime may not be allowed into Canada - for more information,"
  6. Weve always used our Birth certificates for boarding instead of a passport, is that still an option for boarding, we haven't cruised since pre covid . Thanks for any help.
  7. Thank you for letting me know your experience
  8. I assume and I may be wrong but the porters that carry your luggage in are different than the employees on the ship correct I always tip the porters usually five dollars per bag that I'm bringing, not including our carry-ons of course
  9. Don't get me wrong I'm not frugal and I believe that everybody on the ship works hard for the most part. And there are the ones behind the scenes that you never see. But I agree we have stayed in balconies before with three of us and the suite I believe is only 65 more square feet of cleaning area for the same amount of people As I stated before I always wait until the end and pay my gratuities. And I bring cash to tip the room Stewart and my dining room waitstaff. But this time I decided to go ahead and prepay my gratuities for no other reason than I just wanted to. On our past cruises on RC and CCL we've always had decent service other than one time on RC and at that time I did withhold gratuities due to an incident that happened with our room steward
  10. I'm never compared and I guess I could but does anybody know if the rates are the same on the bigger ships versus The conquest class or are they higher, because we're getting ready to book a 2024 cruise out of Galveston on the Jubilee. Not that it matters if we're going to cruise we're going to cruise but just curious
  11. I did notice that the gratuity is a higher rate since we booked a suite for the first time. What's the reason for this, do they do anything extra
  12. No sorry not for a while. I was just curios and wondering if the staff knows who has prepayed and who hasn't and if that may affect service.
  13. I have always paid at the end up until our upcoming cruise in July. I decided that it would just be easier than waiting and having them charge my account at the end. if you pay at the end what is your reason? The reason I did it in the past was because I would just tip as I go for the services rendered. Don't beat me for starting a thread like this.
  14. Thanks as of right now were booked at the Crown Plaza in Baton Rouge and just plan to get up early and park at the terminal. was just seeing if there may be other options out their.
  15. We will be on the Glory starting July 2 for 7days, I was just wondering if anyone one knows of a hotel that offers cruise parking for the duration of the cruise as long as you stay at the hotel at least 1 night before or after your cruise. Thanks for any help. (99 days to Go)
  16. We will be in Nassau in July on the Glory. Myself, DW and DS looking at Margaritaville as a option for a day resort. Anyone been that can comment on how they liked it. Thanks in advance.
