555 Steakhouse has Blanton's and you can grab a seat at the bar at any time. Blanton's is covered by Cheers! and no reservations are needed when sitting at the bar.
Hey Teach, can you usually do that? Like, can I just roll up into the steakhouse or other spot that has a bar but you normally have to have a reservation and tell them I am just here for a few drinks?
At the very least you'd have to pay tax on it because you are still in Texas. If it were me I would bring my own bottle of wine onboard to cover DAY 1 then use the 25% discount once you are in international waters (i.e. no tax). I'm curious to know the answer to this as well.
RCCL don't mess around. I had their drink package and was tipping a $1 a drink and the bartender hands me my drink and says "see you in 2 minutes!". If you have the drink package on RCCL and you are sober then it's your own fault!
Not gonna lie, I had alcohol fatigue near the last days of the cruise and had to dial it back some but dang it was nice trying all kinds of booze with no limitations.
I agree with what other's have said. You'd be paying $44 just to be on a higher floor and to be slightly closer to the elevators. Deck 11 is shared with Camp Ocean so thee is a possibility you may have kiddoes running around on that floor. If it were me, I'd pass on the upgrade.
Amen! That is absolutely worth the up charge. Even more-so on a Vista class ship. I'll be staying in a Havana Cabana room for the first time here in a few months and I CANNOT wait!
I would check out THIS trip report from Willdra. She sailed the Vista in October and was nice enough to post the activity listing for all 7 days of her sailing. Start on page 4. I don't know if the activities will be the same when you sail but at least it will give an idea of what to expect. I am pretty sure I saw somewhere that there is an 80's dress up party on the lido on one of the days.
