With all the new stuff re Princess I am totaly confused from the Medallion (not andriod phone savvy....will try to explain to my 10 yo niece ), to when and where to dine and how to set it up, to when to get tested and what kind of test. I really hate to ask a question because someone will tell me to go read...I have been reading since Monday and I am more confused than ever. Soooo. will someone kindly tell me about dining, the Medallion and covid tests required in very simple terms. We are booked on the Grand to Alaska August 27th. Thanks in advance. (As my grannie used to say...I long for the good ole days when things were simplier)

I’ll start with Dining to set reservations in Dine My Way

-Click knife and fork on main page

-Opens the next window and you can click either options  to set up same dining each day or customize dining

    -click evening

    -double check your party

    -select where and when

We are considering sailing on the Enchanted Princess in May. Just wondering if any folks know which deck is the quarantine area located? We heard that there is always one deck with a certain area set aside for that purpose in each ship. We are picking a cabin and would rather not be close to that area. Does anyone who has returned recently have any daily programs that they can post here?  I know they are all posted on the Princess app nowadays, but just in case if anyone has kept the actual paper programs. We like to do some ballroom dancing,  do the bands play any ballroom music occasionally? Is there a pre-recorded ballroom music hour sometime during your voyage? For a 14 day sailing, would there be a mid- cruise mandatory Covid test done onboard? Any information on the Enchanted Princess are welcome. Thank you in advance.

This is from my trip in January, updated answers may exist but this may help answer some questions

  3. I would double check that it has successfully been pushed through to get credit card reimbursement.

-I cancelled in December and received my $200 non refundable deposit (X3) as FCC (check your account)

quickly along with excursions refunded (different dept)
-2 Weeks ago I called to follow up about taxes and fees and was told it was never pushed through for a refund.

-I fixed that situation and was told that refunds automatically get put in a queue and you just wait your turn

    - Refunds  have bern taking longer than 2 weeks for awhile now closer to 2 months

  4. Ridiculous! They have had enough time to get back to handling  regular call volume. It also doesn’t help that you can’t book Casino offers through the main reservation department.
I know your pain, I have definitely lost hours of my life to that awful hold music.
(before someone asks why not use a TA, my cruises are almost always free and that doesn't seem right)

Yes, just hoping they're not testing again at the pier.  It really causes massive delays to the boarding process.  I'm going on the Enchanted transatlantic April 9 out of Ft. Lauderdale.

No extra testing at Pier if you show up with the required documents.

I'm trying to find out what sports and activities are available on the Enchanted. I'm trying to organize a Sports Day on board and need a list for the sign up. If anyone has been on the Enchanted recently, could you please let me know. I know there is a basketball court and pickle ball is available, but what else? Ping Pong, shuffleboard, that sort of thing. I would so appreciate the information. We have a lot of Sea Days to fill.

Golf, Ping Pong and Volleyball. (Volley uses the same sports court)

I did a live chat on the Princess site - she told me they would exchange my medallion at the ocean Navigator at check in....never mentioned anything about an inaugural cruise.....

I don't really care as long as I get my 10% discount in the shoppes..

The rep is most likely confused. All the medallions are white and the Sea witch represents your status.

I received my discount, it shows in the computer when they ring you up.

I was on Majestic October 30 and had this same benefit--booked Crown Grill in advance using the Medallion app--no problem.

I am booked again on Majestic April 30 and have the same perk.  I am long ago paid in full.  This time when I go on the app, I can take it all the way to payment--and it says $58.  Will not apply the voucher.

Of course, today, the Medallion app isn't working at all.  It won't let me log in.  When I get in on my booking number, it shows me downgraded back to "Yellow Lane" (was green), doesn't show my Medallions as ordered, won't let me even look at Dining My Way.

I think the App is down, I’m having issues and tried two phones. **I’m one of the few who has sailed over the last 4 months  with no app issues

Yeah I got that offer too, and in fact, could sail the Sky, and Regal in europe for over 40 days on a B2B2B with Princess Plus included,  but that brings me back to my previous question, on 40 days of free cruises HOW much casino $$ play is expected by the casino from the passenger over those 40 days of free cruising or simpler yet even over a 7 day free cruise ???

There has to be some minimum casino expectation, right ?

    Nothing is expected.
You could show up and play $0.

    LOL.. Obviously

Up thread someone posted that they play between $100 & $300 a day, and repeatedly receive free cruise offers.

But ... Since you can currently book a seven day Mex Rivera cruise for around $299, playing $1500 or $2100 just to justify a free $299 cruise doesn't make much sense IMO

Just curious, am I missing something ??

If thats the itinerary you like.

You can sail to Europe and stay for 2 weeks on B2B2B

or you can sail on  multiple 20 day cruises in the Caribbean. A few weeks in Alaska was also on option.

So, you can pick a week cruise or other itineraries and play with a lot less money. Remember the money rotates so just because you play say  $500 doesn’t mean that a good portion of that wasn’t from winnings.

  11. Reminder:

For free cruises offered through the casino dept the free cabin offer is usually valid to be used 3 times. (Although the extra OBC is usually only for the initial booking)
Always good to read the fine print.

How do you do this ?? What is the website.  I would gladly buy some gift cards with 15% off

You exchange points for the percentage off and then pay the difference.

You get 50 points for logging in daily

The aren’t offering Princess right now and haven’t for a few months just Carnival and RCCL at 10% off

Hopefully when they offer Princess again you’ll be ready  (They offer other other gift cards as well)

  13. We eat at 5pm. I’m up early, even on vacation, so 5pm isn’t as early to eat as it seems. We get served quickly and then can go on with our evening. It’s also easier to get the same table/wait staff when we show up early.

I also live in FL so I don’t spend most days  at the pool  which makes it easier to clean up quickly for dinner
