  1. Hi All!

Has anyone had issues using a Future Cruise Deposit for a casino offer?

Just to be clear the Future Cruise Deposit you put down while on board for future cruises, Not FCC

I just tried booking an offer using the money I already put down for a deposit and was told I needed to provide another

form of payment.  FCD were no longer being accepted  for casino offers?!

Seems strange to me since it is my money that Princess is already holding for well....FUTURE CRUISE DEPOSITS

I was just curious if anyone else has run into this issue or if anyone has any written information that reflects this.

    Thanks!

    J

Yes, wait to see what you may get.  I had a similar offer ($300 free play) and was looking at booking right away.  Thought the same—are we cruising because we want to or are we only going to get $300 free play!

Two weeks after our cruise, I got an offer for a free interior cabin, drinks while playing in casino and $250 free play.  I called to book a cruise, was told that the free room offer was good for five cruises!  Free play only applied to one cruise though.

We booked a couple of cruises we wanted to go on, upgraded to a better cabin and on one we upgrade to Princess Plus (16 day Hawaiian cruise).  Glad we waited!

I’ve received other offers in addition to email reminders to book my free room before the deadline.  I think once you indicate you’re interested in casino offers, you get more (at least that’s my feeling).

As previously mentioned, you do have to put a $200 deposit per person on each cruise (refundable) as well as pay for all taxes and fees.  You do have to pay everything at the time of booking so it can add up!

edited to add:  you do not get shareholders credit on these free cruises—I tried!

You can get shareholder on Princess, I have 6 free casino cabins booked through summer 2023 and received shareholder for all of them.

Hi everyone, thanks for the replies 😀

The letters we received didn’t mention anything about a free cruise or a discount or anything like that. It just mentioned the casino free play, and that we need to book a new cruise within 45 days of the date on the letter, and that the cruise needs to be 19 days long (or less) and taken before April.

The way I’m reading it is: if we book a cruise at a regular rate, they’ll give us some free play in the casino.

That said, I probably wouldn’t say no to a free or discounted cruise 🙂 but I doubt that will happen. I’m not that lucky 😞

Other offers usually follow through email or post at random.
    Keep an eye out

Veggie Burgers are hardly a Princess Favorite and I would verify the French Onion Soup is not made from beef stock. Hopefully, this will be available fleet wide. Also, the Salty Dog Gastropub serves Beyond Burgers on some of the newer ships.

The veggie burger is a joke but has anyone had the Quinoa burger?

Why would you expect any FCC.  After all you are on the ship.  If you had an accident of some type and were laid up in your cabin for a few days because you couldn't get around would you also expect FCC.  Also back in the day when the big issue was noro and you were isolated in your cabin because of it I am sure that people didn't expect FCC for their noro days.

    DON

The cruise line are offering FCC for your daily costs when put into isolation. Holland America gave a letter stating this.

I could be wrong, but I believe the 15 drink limit is only for alcoholic drinks. Everything else is unlimited.  I am sure someone will correct me if this is not the case.

    Wow!

You are correct! I’ll stop counting now.

    • Alcoholic drinks are limited to 15 beverages per 24-hour period (6 a.m. to 6 a.m.). Alcoholic drinks requested above the daily limits are at the discretion of the shipboard management and crew and charged at regular menu prices.
    • Non-alcoholic drinks do NOT have this limitation, nor do they count toward this maximum.

  7. Just for perspective, I watch a Vlog from a Royal Caribbean performer and she tested positive for Covid. She was isolated and even though she reminded them she was a vegetarian they still brought meat options and one night they forgot dinner completely.

My parents had a similar experience on Holland America where they forgot  to deliver food and even Tylenol.

Seems it’s an issue all over.

I vote that isolation goes away with testing.

I'm sorry if this has been answered many times before but....

Are either or both of the military or shareholders benefits refundable?

If they are and you have On Board Spends plus the above - how does it work when your account is in credit at end of cruise?

    Thanks

Non Refundable credit comes off of your account first.
    Shareholder is Non refundable

  9. The same day that  the buffet held some fish offerings, I dare not call it Pub Lunch it was awful, they had fish and chips on the lunch menu in the MDR.

it was nothing like the pub lunch of the past, all a bit disappointing.

This was on the CB in May
