We'll be on June 4 so this is quite helpful.  Planning to stay on board at Princess Cays regardless of the weather and just hang out by the pool.  Two things if you happen to wander that way.  Are the casino and Churchills open today?  No bigee if you don't have a chance.

Crooners was our goto pre-dinner bar.  Got very fond of the Bourbon & Blood.

    Enjoy.

Casino opens at 3pm today-last water shuttle is 4:30.
Churchills is open but the bar portion isn’t serving. (It’s noon currently)

  2. Overcast weather today in Princess Cay, so we’ll be staying on board.🌧

    Observations so far 🛳

-This is my 5th Princess cruise since restart the others were on the Sky and Enchanted.

-The App has always worked for me in the past but I’m having issues onboard (no issues prior to boarding) nothing is loading correctly.

-I was able to easily stream TV from my phone through my Hulu App last night so it's not the Wifi.

-They don’t have a kiosk to print out your account on this ship SO don’t forget to double check your charges

-Leave a note for your steward if you want printed patters each day

-A full wrap around Promenade deck is always a plus for me

-Breaking back out my mask because it’s a bit difficult to social distance (2 were provided but I brought some from home as well)

Tonight we are doing dinner in the MDR and checking out the comedy show.

I’m enjoying a drink in Crooners and relaxing so it’s a good Sunday.

  3. Many debates about Elite status not being worth it anymore….this is a cruise where it will come in handy.

-Early boarding (Lunch in the dining room was full and line out the door, we beat the rush)

-No waiting today for water shuttles

-High tea delivered to stateroom (only on sea days and I’m sure it will be packed)

This DID NOT work for me a couple of months ago.  Sent the email, time-stamped before expiration of offer and heard nothing.  Called and she said, "sorry expired". Ugh, she put me through to customer service.  She said forward me your email.  Then crickets.  After months, and resending the email a couple of times, I just sent an email saying just disregard.  We've decided on using another offer to book a different one.  Really weird.

That’s not helpful and not the policy.

    Ridiculous on their part.

  5. For Free cruises…

If you have issues getting through send an email with all the details  to

    casinoinquiry@princesscruises.com

This just helps you secure the booking  in case it’s close to expiring. You still need to connect with the casino dept but it at least creates the booking for you.

That's what I'm wondering, I filled out the one that wants the picture of the vaccine cards, but since my cruise is still months away I can't upload a picture of the test yet. I filled out the other questions in the health assessment part, and got nothing that required uploading anything, but that could just be because we are so far out yet.

I leave Saturday but it’s not asking for any documents in the Assessment.

I live in the states and I’m traveling to the Caribbean it may vary but I don’t see anything

This is the 3rd cruise we have done using Medallion App the first being pre pandemic and it has never worked consistently if at all on any of them and IMO is totally useless and should be dumped. Unfortunately Princess will not do this they will persist with an inept Medallion rather than admit that they are wrong. Our next cruise is 2nd June had new update this week and now I was in Green Lane but now in Blue Lane and says I have not booked my arrival group which I booked weeks ago. Tried to rebook arrival group and says it is not available only group available is group C and wife is in group A. Totally useless piece of equipment.

What is the worst is that it’s inconsistent.

I haven’t had issues using it before or during a cruise.

Those with issues, I’m sure it’s frustrating but for those of us who it works for  it’s actually a nice feature.

  8. Laundry for us is a big help since we normally take longer cruises.
I know many do not like sending out laundry but for us this is a great perk.

The discount for excursions is also helpful in extending our $$$
10% isn’t a lot but it’s helpful for European itineraries with expensive excursions.

I also take advantage of the

    -Free Wine Tasting

    -High Tea in the cabin

For shorter  Caribbean itineraries the shop discount is nice since I use non refundable OBC to buy make up. This ends up saving me money on make up that I’m essentially getting for free.

Elite status just adds a few perks that add to our cruising experience.

It all depends on your style of cruising if the extra perks provide any additional value.

  9. We asked yesterday about the Casino dept and was told that you have to have a certain number of years working the regular lines before you can move to book the casino dept cruises. it seems they don’t have that many experienced reps anymore to move them to the dept.

    i also emailed the request.

I have a format so that I include all necessary info.

First they booked it for the wrong year, I emailed asking for it to be corrected.

Second they used the wrong offer code.

Calling about 3 mins before they open seems to be the best way.

We have a Princess EZ Air booking that is with American Air but the over sea's leg is on British Air.  I've tried to link the flights with my AA account but haven't been successful.  Do I need to call American to get that done?

I would call AA and chat with them. The only experience I have with this was booking through Delta but ticketed through West Jet.  I ended up having to use the West Jet Ap for that trip but all my miles still counted towards Delta

  12. As provided in the Passage Contract, guests agree not to bring alcoholic beverages of any kind on board for consumption, except one bottle of wine or champagne per adult of drinking age (no larger than 750 ml) per voyage, which will not be subject to a corkage fee if consumed in the stateroom. Additional wine or champagne bottles are welcome, but will incur a $15 corkage fee each, irrespective of where they are intended to be consumed. Liquor, spirits or beers are not permitted. Please remember that luggage will be scanned and alcohol outside of our policy will be removed and discarded.*

They've got her filling in for more things lately...like trivia helper in Princess live.

Save some money & dispense with her.

OH! Well that can/will be annoying

  14. She’s easily avoided. I only saw her a handful of times on a 20 day cruise,  It was normally just in passing by Princess Live during Bingo sessions.

Definitely nothing like a Disney Character or even a trend in that direction.
