  1. On the Sky Princess this past month I saw multiple ambulances meet the ship in ports.

It's worth the extra cost, annual insurance seems like a good investment and usually ends up cheaper than a per trip based cost.

  2. For those on next week I would suggest to be prepared with card games, a good book just  to  add a bit more activity.

Lots of downtime and even the  trivia I have attended this week only had about 12 people playing.

Dinner has been super fast and it’s all a bit quiet at times.

    (Not complaining)

I have a great book and a lovely deck chair…just sharing so people can be prepared.

Could we please ask a favor of you to find out the expected number of passengers expected for the next leg of the cruise 18-28 December?

    Thanks in advance!

    Cheers

This is posted on last weeks “live from” thread…a few of us are still on board

Our group of 6 will be sailing on the Sky 1/15/22.  In order to make our dining reservations we would like to know the show times from recent passengers on the Sky.

    TIA

Currently sailing and it was 8pm and 10pm for Rock Opera and the comedy show. I just double checked the upcoming illusionist and vocalist shows and they are 8pm and 10pm as well.

This week the ship is only at 1300 passengers and operating only 2 dining rooms so meals are coming out of the kitchen super fast.

Looking at the Sky Princess deck plans, I can’t determine if there is an outdoor promenade level deck for walking. Can’t even identify a walking track on the upper decks. Can someone who has sailed help me out?  Thanks!

Deck 7 is promenade, it does not wrap around.
There is a walking track on 18 above the gym. 7 laps=1 mile.

I walked it yesterday when the ship was in Roatan, nice breeze

It IS decorated but not overly so. There is just the main tree in the piazza and one in the elevator banks before the pools. That’s all I saw anyway. Captain said that they did it themselves this year and didn’t use a company. It’s nice without being too much.

Garland all through the Piazza area as well

I get that -  and same question as philv - is there anything you can take with you to show you've had required test - so when we come back, we don't get held up at boarding due to not test paperwork, etc? Or would we have the little In Transit Card - and just show that and off we go through the boarding process??

You get a yellow Covid in transit card that shows you have already been tested.

Question for you(or anyone else that was on Sky)...

What is the set-up like in the stateroom bathrooms as far as what Princess provides for toiletries? Is there still liquid hand soap by the sink and shampoo in a pump in the shower?

Yes, large liquid hand soap, large body lotion. In the shower pump body wash and a shampoo conditioner mix

Hi, I have a question. After test on turnaround day and disembarking, what if you don’t want to get right back on ship. We want to leave port area and go shopping for wine and maybe hit a beach for a few hours. Does Princess give you paperwork or something so when you re-board you have evidence of test?

After your test you can disembark but you can only leave once. You’ll have to wait to get back on once the ship clears..

You wouldn’t wait with the B2B guests. (That’s what they told us this morning)

If anyone is doing a B2B would you please post your overall experience and guidance throughout the C19 testing process?

    Thanks

We were given a 15 minute interval 8-815 to show up this morning in the vista lounge to get tested took all of 5 minutes.

We will meet at 9am in a dining room to be walked off for immigration.

    Stress Free

I hope this wasn't answered already, but what time were the staterooms available on embarkation day?

Is it possible to access your room (prior to the rooms being available) just to drop off a carry on (and then leave)?   I know Celebrity allows this.

They were available at 1pm (or around) you can drop your carry on at take 5 and they will make an announcement to retrieve or deliver it to your cabin.

You’ll get a list of open food venues upon boarding  and the dining room opens at noon for lunch as well.

Jetblue has multiple (five) levels of economy flights. "Blue Basic" allows zero carryon bags, does not allow seat selection, and has more mostly checked bag fees. "Blue" allows a carryon and seat selection. There is also "Blue Plus," "Blue Extra" and "Mint," but those three seem like premium economy. There is no way to tell which class of service you're booking on EZAir when selecting "Economy." I called the Princess helpline, and they couldn't tell me anything. I called Jetblue and they couldn't help, either. Does anyone have experience that can tell me which level lines up with "Economy" on EZAir?

I just booked JetBlue Independently Yesterday.
    Blue  or Blue extra allow

    1-Carry On

    1-Personal Item

1-$30 checked bag ($35 if paid at check in)

    -Pick  seats ahead of time

Princess wouldn’t book Basic since you can’t bring even a overhead bag, pick your seats and are the very last to board.

Most likely they will book Blue which would be considered economy,

I mocked booked yesterday through EZ Air and the prices lined up with Blue.

  13.

For select cruises, including Panama Canal Full Transits and voyages 15 days and longer, guests will likely have a COVID-19 test administered 3-5 days into their voyages. For voyages 15 days and longer specifically, guests will be tested every 7 days thereafter. The tests will be scheduled and administered by the onboard medical team and will be provided on a complimentary basis.
