The CVS website indicates 2 available tests…Molecular Lab PCR/NAAT (results 2-3 days) and Rapid Result Test.  It doesn’t indicate “Rapid Antigen” so I want to be sure the Rapid Result Test is same as Rapid Antigen Test that you are mentioning. Thanks.

    From CVS

rapid-result testing locations perform antigen testing. Limited rapid-result locations and all drive-thru lab testing locations perform PCR/NAAT testing.

Does anyone know if there will be BinaxNOW kits for use after Dec. 12?    We are scheduled for a Jan. 6 departure.  I haven't been able to find anywhere to get test results back within 2 days around here, so am depending on BinaxNOW.   I also hate to be dealing with the mail during the holiday season, so would like to order sooner rather than later....

Emed has the 6 pack with a Feb expiration

We ordered one kit for us to take. But now worried that it only registered to me. I am just confused as the website did not indicate we each had to order. Can anyone here clarify?

As long as you both make profiles through the Navica App you should be fine

I placed an order for shore excursion in Cabo San Lucas through Princess, even though I know the same company located in Cabo Princesses uses is advertising this for $30 less per person, because I have on-board ship credit. I quickly submitted the Shore Excursion Best Price Guarantee to the email address following all of the steps. The terms and policy states they will let you know within two business days whether it meets the guidelines to match the price (plus 10%). Two business days come and go and I heard nothing. I followed up with a phone call on the 3rd day. The number listed in there Terms and Conditions is no longer in-service so I had to go to regular customer service number. On that day Live Chat was also unavailable. I waited over an hour to talk to some and then was transferred and then disconnected. I then sent a follow up email, still no response.  On the 4th business day I reached out again, and after another hour wait was told to give it a few more days.

Today it has been one week since the submission so I have reached out again. Live chat worked but they could not help and referred me first to the non-working phone number and then the general number. I have now been transferred 3 times and on the call for 2 hours and 40 mins and counting. I was also told to email customer relations, and this email bounced back as a non-working email.  At this point I will be cancelling the shore excursion and booking directly with the company, saving us $120 for a family of four. However I am extremely disappointed in the level of customer service. If Princess cannot honor their stated policy, they need to remove this from their website. At the very least they should have a working number. It does not give me confidence in cruising again. It seems they are not ready to serve their customers. I hope this helps anyone considering booking excursions through Princess and utilizing the Shore Excursion Best Price Guarantee.

I was warned about using this in the past.

I was told that if the Princess excursion includes even just  a bottle of water more than booking the  excursion direct it voids your claim of it being the same tour offer.

I'm sure that isolation cabins will be around for quite some time.  From what I've read, Princess is currently using one side of the Aloha deck for these cabins .. maybe in the aft section of the ship??  I would just assume that could be a moving target.  I would also assume the number of cabins needed for isolation is based on the number of passengers that are booked on a particular sailing.  I've recently read that passengers are getting bumped from the cabins they've long had booked....but those passengers got some sweet deals, IMO.  My only advice is to practice patience during the restart as I'm sure the CDC guidance they have to follow changes on cruiselines on a continual basis.

Anyway, I think more vs less cabins will be made available for isolation in the upcoming months as bookings increase.

I was moved from a Plaza deck cabin for Cruises April 16-May 21 (Selected on purpose) to 3 separate cabins with no compensation. I would have loved a deal but instead  had to  argue  just to  stay in  one cabin for those 3 cabins

  6. The same thing happened here....Except I am on a B2B2B and they moved me from being in the same cabin on all 3 voyages to 3 different cabins.  It took over 2 hours on hold and then on the phone with a princess rep to get it all sorted out. It was very frustrating, even worse...they called it an "Upgrade" when in fact I was moved for isolation cabins.

  7. I have received a response with an apology  and compensated with free dining at the specialty restaurants the last 2 times I brought an issue to their attention.

The most recent time was just a few weeks ago, I wasn't looking for compensation or asked for anything, I  just wanted to be heard.

Email all the addresses, start with customer service and CC the rest.

What deck is Princess using for isolation cabins on the Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire and Caribbean Princess?

Emerald- some are on Plaza, we were moved from our April 2022 cruises due to it being used for isolation cabins

    FYI

Optum has this listed on their site re expiration:

    • Please Note: your test kit may indicate an early expiration date. However, the FDA has approved a 3-month expiration extension for all test kits FDA Approval Letter.

The problem is that all the tests were manufactured almost  a year ago and are hitting their expiration date even with the extension.

EMed seem to be feverishly working with manufacturers to get updated ones which is great because if you buy when they are released you should have them for a year.

Thanks.  I did see this before our cruise. Alas, it’s about a vegan diet. My OH is vegetarian not vegan.  In the U.K. a dish on a menu marked as vegetarian must be vegetarian with no meat derivatives such as animal rennet in cheese. Onboard however they put cheese in almost every dish marked as vegetarian and the cheeses almost always were made with animal rennet, so not actually vegetarian.  It became such torture that my OH had to just say I’ll have this without the cheese. It left dishes bland and lacking in protein. The guys on board have no idea that cheese can contain meat derivatives.

Yes, I realized he was only Vegetarian but some of the Vegan options looked really nice. It may  be worth to look into some of those options since you can be sure that it doesn't have any animal products in it.  I often will choose vegan when faced with the "I don't know" reply.

Just offering it up as an additional option.

I’d be interested in the answers too.  My OH is vegetarian and on Sky two weeks ago it was clear almost all of the vegetarian meals on any menu that contained cheese had cheese made with animal rennet which limited things a lot.  It became too troublesome to have to ask ‘is this cheese in the vegetarian option actually vegetarian” only to be told it’s just cheese.

We’ve sailed on P&O U.K. many times (also part of Carnival) and they have always ensured a veggie dish with cheese had proper veggie cheese plus offered veggie Indian dishes as a lot of the crew were Indian.

This could help, it's a vegan blog but they did make arrangements ahead of time.

I'm a vegetarian with omnivore children.  In the past, I've always ordered the vegetarian option on the MDR menu.  Most of the time, it's not great.  I know some cruise lines allow people to pre-order vegetarian Indian meals.  Does anyone know if Princess does that?

Not that I'm aware of, they are clearly marked on the menu as vegetarian.

(It's a dietary marking you can add to your profile but nothing is pre ordered)
