  1. We liked the hotel and found it clean. But keep in mind we were there in 2019 pre-Covid so I don’t know what the current standards are. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as I recall it was expensive. There was a very nice and reasonable coffee shop next door to the hotel where we had breakfast each morning. As I recall they had oatmeal, pastry, etc. It was called Esquires coffee and was great.
  2. We used Smiths for Airports. I read on CC that they have since closed. I was in this site to look for current private transport ideas from LHR to Southampton for this summer
  3. We took a taxi from the port which was easy (not pre-booked). We had the taxi drop us off downtown as we had our own walking tour in mind. We then got a taxi from the main taxi line up across from the Belfast City Hall (worth a visit...there is a lot of history/Titanic artifacts inside) to the Titanic museum. There is then a phone and taxi stand inside the Museum to use to get back to the ship. We normally don't do taxis on our own but it was very easy at this port.
  4. We stayed in Windsor two nights pre-cruise in 2019 and loved it. We took a private transfer from Heathrow to Windsor and got there just in time to see the guards marching past our hotel to Windsor Castle. We stayed at the Macdonald Hotel Windsor which I would recommend. The hotel room was good and the staff friendly. There was a great coffee shop for breakfast right next door and we could walk the town and to the Castle. We ended up taking a nice boat tour from town on the river which we liked. We booked a Windsor Castle tour for our second day. The town is very quiet at night when the day visitors leave, so we enjoyed staying over. We ate at some nice pubs. We then had another private transfer from the hotel to the cruise port.
  5. I called the hotel and talked to the Princess rep. at the Princess tour desk. They are recommending people go to the Egan center a few blocks from the hotel for testing. You don’t need an apt. I called a few times to confirm this info.
  6. We are flying into Anchorage in August before our cruise, and are staying at the Princess hotel in Anchorage (Hotel Captain Cook) for three nights and then on a Princess transfer to the ship. A few weeks ago, I just called the hotel directly and talked to the Princess rep at the tour desk at the hotel. She told me that the Egan center is doing testing daily and that appointments are not necessary. I plan to call again when it is closer, but that was what she told me. She said it is a 2 block walk from the hotel (you don't post where you are staying though). There are also a number of Walgreens in Anchorage that let you make an appointment about 10 days ahead of time, but none of those were in walking distance of the hotel.
