  1. The backdoor method only worked when it was for the world leading cruise lines This one is specific to Carnival...
  2. Thanks for the heads up. Also found it on my Blue Cash Everyday card.
  3. I found their customer service people to not know anything about this. They told me to call sales to get the offer code to get this OBC added, but it was not necessary as it showed when I logged in to my MSC portal.
  4. Just paid deposit today and added booking to my MSC profile, now I can see the OBC in the reservation. Thank you all!
  5. Thank you all. I just made the booking yesterday and the cruise is a little over a year away, so I will wait a few days for the OBC to show.
  6. It's been a while since I last cruised MSC. For those of you who have booked recently, when you booked, do you see the Voyagers OBC immediately on your confirmation? It seems like if I booked a cruise more than 12 months before departure, I should get 5%+5% discount and double points, plus Silver/Gold/Diamond members get $50 OBC per person. But I don't see this OBC on my confirmation. Do I need to contact them? Thanks in advance.
  7. Any recommendation for hotel near Carnival's port? Current plan is to stay at Hampton Inn Long Beach airport, but that is still a bit far from port. Want to see if there are any better recommendations. Or would you recommend staying near LAX? Will be flying into LAX. TIA
  8. For those of you who had booked hotel through HAL before, how did you get the transfer from airport to hotel? We are planning on booking a hotel for a few nights prior to our cruise, but they can't give us any information on how the transfers from airport to hotel will be handled. Will they have a representative at the airport even though it is not their embarkation day?
  9. May I ask how many points you had in your previous cruise to get these offers? I thought I spent a lot of time/money on my last cruise, but they only gave me a 20% discount, which I am grateful for. Although a free cruise would be even better.
  10. Depending on when you create the group, the rate may be lower than the rate advertised to the general public. Working with a TA would definitely make it easier for you and your group. I get tour conductor discounts, additional OBC and lower group rates when I set up the group through my TA.
  11. Thank you all, this is very reassuring. Much appreciated.
  12. If you are on this ship, can you please confirm the current locations of the self service laundry on the Horizon? There was a post from a few years back, not sure if any changes have been made since and their deck plans don't seem to indicate there are any. Thanks in advance for your help!
  13. Thanks, found offers on both my card and my significant other's card. Does it have to be a single charge of $1000 or can it be two separate charges totaling $1000?
  14. I got ~10% discount/rebate on my group cruise when booked through my TA. Group rates are usually the same as going rate (at launch pricing), sometimes less. You get one free berth credit for every 16 people (or eight cabins), I think...
