  1. Hi there friends. About 3 weeks ago I booked the Seascape for March. I did my online check in and tried to add my credit card for onboard incidentals and I received an error. Fast forward to today. I went on to make my final payment and tried again to complete my check in by adding a credit card. Same error. I called MSC and spoke with two different people who both told me that they are unable to add my credit card, I have to do it online during check in. Has anyone else had this issue? Any remedy? Thanks in advance.
  2. One more question, if you don't mind. When we cruise with CCL or RCCL, we get the option to prepaid gratuities and include it in the cruise fare. I did not see that option when booking this cruise. We like prepaying. Is there a way to prepay gratuities, or do they just put them on the end of the bill during debarkation?
  3. Thank you for this great run down! We contemplated the YC, but being our first time, we wanted to make sure we were going to enjoy it before spending that much. We got Aurea in a Junior Suite with Easy Plus, Wi Fi and $50 OBC, for $2,300 (total, 2 of us). The thing we are most concerned about it being bored during the day, as that was a complaint I saw on another thread. We enjoy trivia, arts and crafts, etc during the day. Are we going to enjoy those things on this ship?
  4. First, thanks in advance for any insight. My husband and I are Platinum on Carnival and Diamond on Royal. These are the only two lines we’ve cruised with. We wanted to try something new, so we booked the Seascape for this March. They had a great deal with East Plus and Wi-Fi. We’re late 30’s and not into the wild party scene, and this line seems more laid back. We did book Aurea because we enjoy spa amenities. In addition, we did match our status from the other lines to gold on MSC. We are a little nervous because we know the other two lines like the back of our hand, and this is all new. With all that said.. tips, tricks, advice?
  5. No one at Serenity? When we were on 3 weeks ago, the pool was shoulder to shoulder from open to close, even on port days!
  6. I see Milan! We were on 3 weeks ago and Milan at Brass Magnolia was amazing.
  7. Thank you all very much for the information. We are excited to try MSC.
  8. Thank you for this explanation. So, Top 19 is the Exclusive Solarium, but is different from the Yacht Club area?
  9. We have been loyal to another line for a long time, but are interested in cruising the new Seascape, so I have been doing some looking around the site. The Aurea experience interests us and I see one of the benefits is "Free access to the Top Exclusive Solarium." Today an agent called me to say "hey I see you've been looking around the site, let me help you book!" I inquired about the Aurea Experience and what the "Free access to the Top Exclusive Solarium" means. They told me there is one private room we have access to on the Seascape that is all glass, in front of the ship on Deck 20. I asked if it was the Yacht Club Solarium (I think it's called Top 19), because that is what's showing on the deckplan, and she said no. When I was doing some research online, the "Top Exclusive Solarium" seems to be the Yacht Club." Can someone explain to me what the "Free access to the Top Exclusive Solarium" is, if it's not the Yacht Club? Thanks in advance.
  10. Hi friends, on the MG next week and staying in Havana. Where is the closest place to grab something for breakfast, other than room service. On Horizon they had a breakfast buffet in Havana, but I understand they don’t have that on MG. I thought I read somewhere that Chibang has a breakfast buffet, but I can’t find it anywhere online. Thanks in advance.
  11. Although I've never been on the Magic, the Breeze (sister ship) is my all-time favorite. I've been on the MG 4 times, my 5th time this upcoming weekend. The MG is beautiful, huge, and I love it. However, I feel it is understaffed for the size and amount of people on the ship. We were on the MG this last Spring Break and I would never do SB on the MG again. The Magic is the right size for an 8-day cruise. Plus, the itinerary is nice.
  12. We can nitpick the wording, or we can just go with what JH said. I was more so referring to the fact that they were initially supposed to be upcharges after a period of time and are not now.
  13. I am on Mardi Gras in a few days and someone from the group asked JH when the restaurants were going back to a fee, and he said, "no time in the foreseeable future."
  14. How to book a spot in Carnival Kitchen? Classes are relatively small people with only 20 or so people class, so book ahead of time. The easiest way to book is to use your Cruise Planner (at Carnival.com) and add them. The classes are found under “Specialty dining.” You can wait and book online, but currently, Carnival Kitchen is only available on some of Carnival’s biggest ships. With so many passengers, spots fill up quickly. How much does Carnival Kitchen cost? A class in the Carnival Kitchen costs $30 per guest. Guests must be 12 years old or older to participate. Which ships have Carnival Kitchen? Carnival Celebration Carnival Jubilee Carnival Mardi Gras Carnival Panorama
  15. I have two free interior casino offers, both with different offer codes. One is for cruise August-October and the other is for cruises October-December. These are my first complimentary cabin offers, so my question is, am I able to use both offers, or would I only be able to have one free cruise booked at a time? Thank you in advance for the help.
  16. We will make the most of it. Luckily we live in Florida and are parked at the port, but I feel bad for everyone running around trying to figure out flights. They gave everyone 45 minutes of internet and opened the cabin phones to dial out for those who need to make flight changes, etc.
  17. Just a quick update, Captain just came on and informed us that we are staying on until Sunday due to the weather in Miami.
  18. We are on Symphony this Saturday and plan to park at the port for convenience. I’m seeing conflicting things online that parking needs to be reserved in advance, while others are saying it’s first come first serve. I don’t see a place to book in advance on the Port of Miami website, so I’m a little confused. Anyone with insight? Thanks in advance.
  19. He is on Symphony now. We cruise with him next week and he’s listed on our entertainment guide.
  20. Can anyone confirm that WOW bands are back on Symphony? I’m hearing conflicting things. Thanks in advance!
  21. I see that on SOTS next week they have the same two comedians doing adult comedy throughout the week. My question is, do they repeat the same set all week long or are the sets different each night? I’m trying to get our shows organized and don’t want to book multiples if it’s the same set. Thanks in advance.
