  1. Classic your beverage package, and I believe Pearl has something to do with the casino.
  2. That's a valid point, but I've been told if they get caught holding back those tips, it is cause for immediate dismissal. From what I've been told.
  3. Only have to turn over cash tips if auto grats are removed. If you leave on auto grats, any extra you give the cabin attendant, they get to keep.
  4. If you remove gratuities altogether and just tip those who you feel deserve it, you actually end up screwing them as it has been reported that they must turn in those gratuities to the tipping pool. Best to leave on the auto grats and complain to management via the comment cards/survey.
  5. No, you can buy just one and toggle between the two devices. Only one can be connected at a time.
  6. If you have no drink packages whatsoever, you will pay the state sales tax on drinks purchased while in port. The signing slip will show cost of drink + state tax + gratuity. In fact, you will pay the state sales tax on any purchases made while in port. For high item purchases like beverage/dining packages, they will take your info then ring it up when they get out to sea.
  7. We booked a similar price for the Beach Club/private pool for a similar price several years ago, but that cruise got cancelled. For $284 for a private buffet lunch/pool, they can stick it where the sun don't shine. 🤪
  8. Haven't been to Coco Cay in years back when you had to tender in. I remember the waters were very rocky. Do I need to bring water shoes? Just planning on using the free beaches.
  9. Equating hotels to cruising is comparing apples to oranges. We normally only stay in hotels for one night. Any more than that is the exception rather than the rule. We've yet to cruise with once a day housekeeping as our past and future sailings are in JS's. I'm wondering how this once a day service is affecting their tip tip horray envelope?
  10. Didn't you both have to upgrade, making it $19.98 + 20% Grat? I called and it was around $431 for the both of us for our Solstice TP.
  11. The A2's are up forward under the spa/gym area, and back aft under the Suites. The aft ones would be my first choice as you have staterooms above them.
  12. Avoid corner aft stateroom 9404. It is obstructed by angle irons. You can't walk out on the balcony in fear of bumping your head.
  13. Definitely fly into EWR. If you are concerned about Murphy's Law, fly in the day before, because if your 7am flight gets cancelled, you're probably screwed getting to Newark to board the ship. If you fly in the day before, here are some options of places to stay: Residence Inn by Marriott Newark, Extended Stay America Suites Elizabeth, Embassy Suites by Hilton Newark Airport, and/or Hampton Inn and Suites Newark Airport Elizabeth. They are all in the same relative area. They probably all have free transport from the airport, and you can check about transport to the port, or call an Uber/Lyft.
  14. Download the app and purchase the Pass on line. You will avoid all the long lines at the train station and will be able to just head to the train and board. The app is called MyPass.
  15. You will have to pay State tax for drinks ordered prior to getting out in international waters in NJ and FL. When we boarded in Bayonne and upgraded our beverage package, they would take down our folio number on our seapass and ring up the transaction once we got out to sea.
  16. Is this really a "flash sale"? Pre-covid it was $10pppd to upgrade, and both in the stateroom did not have to upgrade. One could have the Premium, and the other could stay with the Classic. They recently raised the price to $20pppd then made both in the stateroom having to upgrade. Now they drop the price to $10pppd, but both have to upgrade, whether or not one only drinks Classic beverages. So, it ends up I have to pay $20pppd for both of us, even though the wife only drinks Classic stuff. I'm not feeling the love. 😍
  17. Brisbane has a new cruise terminal out in the middle of nowhere. Hope they provide shuttles into town.
  18. We just got off Odyssey a couple months ago. They do have the 1/2 Bath (toilet/sink/vanity), but the main bath did not have a toilet -- just separate shower, separate tub, and sink/vanity.
  19. Fair enough -- I have it on two of my next three Celebrity sailings, but it was offered as a booking perk at the time of booking. The one I did not get it was a group booking. I'm not sure it's offered on all bookings is all I'm saying, but things may have changed, and I could be wrong.
  20. I know it is offered on some bookings, but didn't know the military discount was offered on every booking. That's news to me.
  21. I had a hard time finding any onions in the french onion soup. Don't order it any more.
  22. That's mostly on the S-Class ships. All of the M-Class seem to have bed by the bath, although someone could point out an exception.
  23. Yeah, it doesn't make sense to use a $14 voucher for a 5 cent bottle of water. 🤣
  24. During our 5-6 trips to Bermuda, the ship always changes to Bermuda time on the way over and forward on the way back.
