  1. Me too! I'm not a noob to cruising either, but planning our first Viking cruising also, we are doing an Ocean voyage. soooo much to learn!
  2. I've also seen advertised on Viking now that as part of choosing to use their air that you can go onto My Viking Journey and change flights to your preferred ones out of their offerings? is this correct? and what about the seat?
  3. Yes the cancellation fee would $100 PP. I'm looking to put a deposit down and asked this question.
  4. Thank you very much! that's a long time in Alesund!
  5. Hi everyone! New to Viking --------I've searched the boards and haven't been successful at finding answers for this particular itinerary. I'm looking to put a deposit down for a 2024 sailing on the Saturn for this cruise and haven't been able to find approximate port times for Norway. Has anyone been on Iceland's Majestic Landscapes and can share please? I'm hoping the Norway port times aren't just six hour ports like some other lines. Especially Flam! Thank you all in advance! p.s. Why doesn't Viking post their port times like all the other main stream lines? any ideas?
  6. My Dh and I are looking to book our first Viking cruise. we were looking in 2021, but with world events decided to wait. The entry level DV6 is what we are specifically looking at and this indeed would be a top dollar once in a lifetime experience to cruise with Viking as financially its a stretch to get there. We can do it one time. The thought of missing out on Vikings included motor coach tours because we aren't in a higher level cabin is disturbing. I have some mobility issues and those offerings are perfect for me. I see that this can be a touchy subject here, with people just saying "Pay more for a higher cabin to get what you want". Its not that simple. Viking advertises certain experiences as part of enticing people to pay so much more for their cruises and their luxury experience. It is not unreasonable to expect to have those available when these are still heavily advertised as perks. Same as dining.
  7. Thank you for that! im looking into my first cruise on Viking and they do a lot differently from my research, not having the port schedule up is one of them and its making it hard to decide.
  8. Of course i completely understand that there will be changes, i just would like to have an idea of an approximate time for the same crusie. ill be sure to check out Cruise mapper! thank you.
  9. Hi there and thank you for this also, im new to Viking and might be doing my first cruise with them in Aug. 2024 and im looking at this exact cruise!
