  1. If you are getting off for a tour, that happens just as fast as anyone disembarking. Instead of the crew making sure you are the last ones off, you can get off really early- the computer will note you got off. You won't be able to get back on until everyone is off- but that's not an issue since you will be on a tour. In theory, you should get your new card along with a note that you don't have to check in- just board- the night before. For sure, ask guest services for details, but they should be very capable of having people get off the ship for whatever reason and get back on before the last check in time.
  2. I'd call RCI and ask them. Every time we asked a question like that, they give us an honest answer of what would be the best choice. You can even ask hypothetically suggesting that the relationship is on the rocks and you want to be ready if something happens. Or your TA, however you made the reservation. Especially given that you see people suggesting all things.
  3. To put some data to it, on the Oasis of the Seas, there are 176 suites, 86 of them JS. Which would pretty much double the SL accessibility. Which makes no sense at all to add them to full suites.
  4. For dinner... about a decade ago, we were in a GS, and hosted family who were in a JS for Thanksgiving dinner in our cabin. There were no issues, as we just ordered the whole menu ourselves. So you should be able to order everything for everyone. Don't really need a genie to even do that, so I honestly would dismiss any concerns for others about a delay in their service. And if you get a bottle of wine or two delivered to your cabin for dinner, would it even matter if it was for 2 or 4? Again, for that, I would dismiss others concerns that you would be hogging the genie's time. To me, your request is pretty darned trivial in terms of the work a genie has to do- call them, they enter it, and their work is pretty done. If they personally deliver wine, the time it takes to deliver 2 bottles vs. 1 is exactly the same amount of time.
  5. So am I. Swimming in the Great Lakes in the summer is considerably colder than 70. but we love it anyway. 80's during the day to warm up, and whatever the water temp is works great. Still, if you don't like it, you can always choose a cruise that goes someplace else. It's certainly not going to move anytime soon.
  6. Cold is relative. We’ve been here 4 times since December, and it’s warm to hot to us. And the cool water feels really good when it’s in the 80’s. It’s why winter is our cruising season. Hotter than 85 would be pretty miserable.
  7. I thought I was pretty clear with the data point- JS, 7nt, 2025, NextCruise, $100pp for each cruise. Just data.
  8. We had lunch at the Park Cafe, which was also where we got breakfast. It’s a pretty short walk there. I don’t think we ever ate at the WJ. Or even spent much time in the suite lounge, lol. We boarded in Texas, and I think cabins were ready at 1:30. We were in 1036, saw some rust on the underside of deck 11, but other than that she was great. Had fun meeting the entertainment group, as they performed at many events.
  9. If anyone cares, we just deposited $400 for B2B in JS for ‘25. 7 nights each. So $100pp per cruse. Next Cruise.
  10. Yes, back in Feb. And had a GS. We had a great time!
  11. Main dining room…. I know Chops is supposed to be available, but we didn’t try it a month ago.
  12. One suggestion is to get a regular cup for the room, and fill it using just one pod. Depending on the cup size, it should be close to two long pulls. The cup will be replaced every day by the room steward.
  13. So we’ve sailed the Allure and Harmony over the last couple of months, and on both ships there was a balloon drop on the first night just as the welcome aboard party comes to its conclusion.
  14. It bothers you so little that you spend time posting about it. Got it. If it didn’t, you wouldn’t notice nor post about it. I’m amused that it bothers people. Hilarious that you give people so much power.
  15. For many of the itineraries, CocoCay replaces Nassau. And give how popular Nassau is on this board…..
  16. Sorry that we bother to get to know the crew and treat them like real people. But I still find it so amusing that you go out of your way to not only notice people wearing their status, but you even project some behavior of theirs. If that’s what you waste your vacation time and money on, it’s yours to waste. Makes me really proud to wear my pin and have a lanyard with my gold card just to bother people like you. It’s pretty awesome how you let me bother you with some really simple triggers.
  17. Status is what people notice. That’s why it seems so common. You just call a jerk rude when they are that way on their first cruise. But if you want to project onto others, it’s your vacation and money.
  18. It certainly does not take status to have a feeling of entitlement. Just look at some of the posts that are started. It’s the person not the status.
  19. We’ve been suggested by crew members to wear the pin all of the time. So it’s not totally because attention. Or more correctly perceived attention. If it bothers you, maybe pay attention to something else- like shorts in the dining room. We have tipped at the end of a b2b if people don’t change. But sometimes they do, so we tip at the end of the first for them.
  20. For us, they are the corner aft JSs. On Radiance and vision ships, they have wrap around balconies.
  21. Just booked a b2b in feb 25 an hour ago here on board. Low deposit that way. And it was some of the cheapest fares for our cabin I’ve seen in a long time.
  22. Just remember to keep an eye on the price over time as you can lower your fare up until final payment time. We, too, have been booking early for years, so….
  23. Just had a meeting for a b2b yesterday, lol. you should have the option to leave before the consecutive cruisers get off and back on- and then meet up with someone who will take you to the rain forest. Start at 8 or 9am and you should easily be back before all aboard. Last time we drove there from Old San Juan, it was 30-40 min in a car.
