@HBE4 Thank you for another trip down memory lane. Menu is amazing. I remember the New City Diner was actually in Bardonia on Route 304. When we lived in Tappan, we would frequent the Blauvelt Diner on 303 at least once a week. Great staff and owners. We would usually have lunch at the Forum Diner on Route 4 when we hit the malls in Paramus. When visiting our daughter and family in March, we had breakfast in the Tom Sawyer diner also in Paramus. Our favorite to go diner, smaller than the rest was Park Ridge Diner in NJ. To go along with your menu, here is a picture of some of those incredible dessert offerings at Stateline Diner:

Martin's does not sound familiar. Where did you shop on Grand St.? Continued healing prayers go to your daughter. Jennifer, whenever we visit our daughter in NJ, Willowbook is the closest mall. I'm not familiar with Hahne's I remember Bambergers became Macy's in the Nanuet Mall near us in Rockland County in 1986. Montclair is a lovely town. It's going to hit 100 today. High 90s low 100s for the next 10 days at least, no rain. 2011 we had over 40 consecutive days of over 100 temps, no rain. Water restrictions turned most lawns brown. What I learned about Dallas area weather living here: When it rains, it STORMS, and when it's hot it's SIZZLING HOT.

This comment, that I could have written, was taken from a Brooklyn memories site: I Remember my Mom would take us on the subway GG TRAIN and get off at Hoyt-Schermerhorn walk that long hallway and walk outside on to the street into mcCrory and smell the waffles ...the waffles and ice cream was good.

I had a bad experience attempting to take an MRI for back pain. Before I was "wheeled in" I questioned how small the tube looked. This was not my first MRI and I thought I was familiar with what size it should be. The tech told me it was fine so against my better judgement I agreed. I was wheeled totally in and all of a sudden, I felt a breeze blowing on my face and it seemed that my face was almost touching the top of the tube. I felt trapped which I never felt before when I took previous MRIs. I quickly hit the panic button and when I was wheeled out, I was told that the "regular" MRI was out of order. I'm sure I was placed in a child's MRI if there is such a thing. After that experience I found a place that had sitting MRIs. I sat with the mechanism surrounding me. I had a choice of what tv programs to watch and chose Judge Judy which I couldn't hear since I had to remove my hearing aids. I later was told by my back doctor that those sitting MRIs have been known to not be very accurate. I was lucky. He was able to determine my problem. Not serious at all.

YES worth every penny. As far as "the sign" goes, I'll have whatever she's having. 🤣 My TX friend ordered 2 pastrami sandwiches from Katz's deli delivered to her home. She asked me over for lunch and surprised me! I thought I was getting tuna. 😋She also orders NY bagels, $54 for 12 bagels, not even a baker's dozen. I've only been to Katz's once. I'm sure local neighborhood delis have lower prices than Katz's.

Thank you so much for a look at the city which changed so much since I left 19-1/2 years ago. I've only been back a few times and will never stop loving it. BTW, I would wait on a line that was out the door for a NYC pastrami on rye with a can of Dr. Brown Cream Soda. You have a wonderful step-daughter who loves you very much. Oh Greg, so sorry to read the trouble you're having with your knee. I hope whatever course of action you take solves the problem especially the pain. On a lighter note, I clicked on You Tube and your Explorer cruise You Tube video came up! I have no idea why but I enjoyed seeing all the pictures that were on your CC review.

Cherries $2.99/lb, ribeye steaks $4.99 choice grade. Life is good at Kroger. At least until Tuesday. Now I HAVE to make meatballs. I wonder why??? Question for the meatball mavens. Do you brown them first or add them as is to the sauce? I only use San Marzano crushed canned tomatoes among other ingredients.

We never stay in suites and we're Emerald status. I'm not complaining. All of our cruises have been wonderful with diet cokes and the occasional adult beverage, for me anyway. One bottle of Moscato is enough for me for the entire cruise. The last time Jack had an alcoholic drink was many years ago. Happy Graduation to Ryan. Hope that tornado watch doesn't turn into a tornado warning!
