  1. Unfortunately you are mistaken. The Magics last cruise from Galveston leaves on 4-10-16 it is a 7 day this bring the ship back to Galveston on 4-17-16 an Her 1st sailing from home port Port Canaveral is on 4-20-16 a 3 day going to Bahamas. Now what I see odd is that after the 3 day cruise there is no dates until 5-21-16 sailing. Maybe they just have not released the sailings yet I don't know. Also has a break after Feb 14th back on 21st until March 6th

I knew I was overlooking something. Thanks for clarifying.

  2. Here's my wild guess based on today's events: The Magic is leaving Galveston on April 10th and not arriving to Port Canaveral until April 20th. Then JH said today there would not be a repositioning cruise but instead only crew. So, what can they possibly do in 10 days? Fingers crossed they can renovate the grill into a Guy's and maybe squeeze a cantina somewhere.

Cruising with Autism-We cruised with you on the Dream 2014 for Halloween & we are doing it again this year! Its so much fun. Your Dad was great.

Hi Stephanie!! Can't wait to see your costume this year. I think we are sailing during Thanksgiving week.

  4. ImageUploadedByForums1429972433.912215.jpg.394e1ed2be83f460bfa72401ec47de9f.jpg Yes! Lots of people dress up! There's a big costume contest and they have the top 20 or so onstage. There was trick or treating for the kids and even the crew dressed up. My Dad came in 4th place as a leprechaun. The winners were a black Richard Simmons (complete with a raunchy workout routine) Ike & Tina Turner (they were spot on!) and the Little Mermaid (her wheelchair was the clam shell and her costume was amazing!). We saw Ghostbusters with a giant stay puft marshmallow man and wondered how on earth they packed that. One group were the characters from the board game Clue. Be creative and have fun!!

Here's some of my family :

  5. If you decide to have separate staterooms, please remind your kids not to let their door slam if they're going back and forth. Nothing more annoying than when we were the one cabin in the middle of a family group and they all went across and down the hall and doors slammed constantly.

  6. It's not his problem that his bosses can tell him that he can give us ship deployment news and then they have to put it off a few more days.

I never said it was. But today he said some very vague things about the Fantasy, then later decided to quell rumors on cruise critic by saying that she would still be sailing with the red, white and blue. Why not just say that in the original post?! Oh, I know why-because it garners more speculation/attention this way. And, here we are!

  7. John has posted lots of photos of the Fantasy today on his Facebook page...I am thinking there will be sad news regarding this ship during the next Dancing announcement. If Carnival does as I expect and they remove the Fantasy from their US fleet, I hope they bring a worthwhile successor to Charleston. Another Fantasy class vessel isn't really worth the retirement of the Fantasy in my mind even with extra balconies welded on the side.

I wondered about his post too. "She has an exciting future with Carnival Cruise Line" and "I hope you get to sail on her". I think those that predicted a Costa Fantasy were right...

  8. I've cruised with my sisters and it's fine. The balcony is great to have more space- usually two would sit out there with a glass of wine waiting on the other two to get ready.

The upper bunk made us feel like kids again- and whoever was the least drunk had to climb the ladder of death each night. Lol!

  9. Yes, the deck plan is not representative. One of my photos shows the neighboring balcony. The stateroom and balcony were significantly wider. There may have been a ramp from the sliding door threshold; it could be an accessible room.

    Gotcha.

I found pics of the interior of 5345 and it is very spacious. Unfortunately for us, it only has beds for 3 and we are a family of 4.

Thank you again for your post, Mattjs!
