  1. Just now leaving Nawiliwili. Captain made an announcement that we were a bit late leaving because they were waiting for four passengers that decided to disembark today without informing Princess. No bueno!!! He also said that we should be swinging fairly South of Calvin, but will be having larger swells on our 2nd sea day.
  2. Super fun day at the beach today in Nawiliwili Bay. We walked from the ship, an easy 15 minute stroll, to the beach in front of the Marriott's Royal Sonesta Hotel. The weather was perfect with a slight breeze. In the above photo, our ship is behind the trees. If you look closely in the above photo you can see our ship through the trees. In front of Duke's, we rented 4 beach chairs and 2 umbrellas ($50 for 2 chairs and an umbrella).
  3. No, not at all. 😄 But, we like to get our preferred cabin booked before it is gone.
  4. We have been monitoring the hurricane. Today it is supposed to go from a Cat 2 to a Cat 3 hurricane. Captain has yet to comment on the storm. I think he will today as we leave Kauai. I agree with you that we will definitely feel the rough seas associated with the storm. Buckle-up Buttercup! 🌊
  5. We usually cruise the Med at least every other year. We always choose to do the last Med voyage of the season and then the TA to Ft Lauderdale (back-to-back). This puts us in the Med in mid to late October. Weather is never hot and ports are not crowded. We also get to rest-up on the sea days back to Florida.
  6. The table was there for 48 hrs, lots of dirty dishes left on it, and red bio-hazard bags also on the table throughout the day with trash. Good indication that someone was ill. 🤔
  7. Yes, on prior visits. We saw lots of them going to tables today. They are amazing!
  8. It was a beautiful day today. First let me start with the water shuttle situation. Debbie and I went to the Michelangelo MDR at 10 am (designated for Elite water shuttles). We were in the shuttle and on our way ashore at 10:30. Our kids were meeting friends that are vacationing on the island. They picked up their water shuttle tickets at 10:30, after sleeping in. They did not make it ashore until 12:30! Apparently, the port authorities slowed down the speed of the shuttles arrival into the marina. We heard lots of complaints and many folks missed their independent excursions. We walked around, did a little shopping and had lunch at Kimo's. We were back on the water shuttle at 1:30, no waiting at all. @wallyj This one is for you, with my Panama hat! We shared the avocado/Ahi Poke Debbie had a Caesar salad with baked deep-sea snapper. I had the baked deep-sea snapper, jasmine rice and macaroni salad. It was all delicious!
  9. Here's the itinerary, no info on fares yet. It is on the Majestic, on my previous post I said the Discovery, sorry...
  10. I met with her yesterday. Unfortunately, none of their current discounted offerings worked for us. I did find out about the 12/01/24 Majestic sailing, LA to Ft Lauderdale, 51 days. It opens for Elites on July 26th. I will pass on your thanks!
  11. Currently on the Emerald, we have flowers on our MDR table.
  12. We made it to the 8:45 show, it was really good. Our granddaughter loved it!
  13. @gt1701a Our daughter said that she did not see any teens in our granddaughter's group. She will try to ask at the Kids Club.
  14. @wallyj Aloha! Yes, I packed one of my Montecristi Panama hats, won't leave home without one! We are going to book the 51 day, 12/01/24, LA to Ft Lauderdale, Discovery voyage. It will be available to book for Elites on July 26th. None of the 50% off cruises worked for us. See you onboard soon!
  15. Debbie did some laundry yesterday and she was ready at 8 am but they didn't open until around 8:20. No problems with the machines. Btw, Elite laundry has been returning in less than 48 hours.
  16. We had a fun day today! The five of us shared a taxi to Waikiki ($25). The kids rented an umbrella and two lounge chairs on the beach next to the Moana Surfrider Hotel (in front of the Hula Grill). It was $54 for three hours. They had a great time swimming in the ocean. I accompanied Debbie on a shopping safari! She hit Duke's Marketplace, Ross, H&M, and Macy's. For my reward for carrying all of the bags, we had lunch at the Paia Fish Market. I highly recommend this casual restaurant. We had seared ahi burgers and they were Fantastic! It is located behind the Waikiki Beach Comber Hotel. We reunited in front of the Cheesecake Factory and shared a taxi back to the ship.
  17. The cake decorating was booked at the Kids Club for $10. They were having two sessions during this voyage, 15 kids per session. It was held in the galley for the Michelangelo MDR. They had to wear long pants, closed toed shoes and were provided latex gloves. Parents were not allowed in the galley. The photo does not do the cake justice and it was really tasty!
  18. I just spoke to our room steward re: our neighbors. He said they are no longer in quarantine. That it was precautionary only.
