  1. I’m a pescatarian so might be limited…but perhaps they will accommodate with something fresh throughout the week.
  2. I’m generally happy just to cruise (even on NCL and RCCL) so actually like them all. I loved Victoria the best for vice, size, service etc, but the QM2 is my favorite gym/spa and the only disco I enjoy (G32 > Yacht Club) so even if it’s downhill since I was last there (2019!), I’ll just focus on what I love and get over the rest. I’m grateful for the reviews because happiness results from managed expectations 🙂
  3. Thank you, was wondering if I should eat l lunch before boarding this afternoon! I understand, sometimes it’s just not as great. Hopefully, there are other things to do…
  4. I’m often the youngest person around and always happy to be reading! And we were on QV in Britannia in July (after last having done QE in Princess Grill) and were very happy with the food also.
  5. Is it selection or quality of food? I am happy with simply grilled fish and veggies, are you experience good that isn’t fresh or high quality? I hope your trip improves! (And not only because we board tomorrow 😂😂)
  6. This is terrible, I’m so sorry for you. What did Cunard say in the email? Maybe we had better carry our own luggage on and off the ship…
  7. I am on the premium soft drink package—on QV they have us large bottles but I’m also fine with multiple small. We drink mostly sparkling water and coffee so that seemed the right approach. I made the mistake of the full drink package and thought the wines by glass were awful, so will put that $560 (80x7) towards a few nice bottles over the week. I did the commodore collection and liked the chablis but not the sancerre or montagny, so would rather just have bottles I like. Maybe I’ll find something in a wine store in Quebec…
  8. Hello, will be on QM2 next week, am holding off on booking other Cunard cruises until I see how the dance situation evolves, and whether private lessons will be available again with real dance pros. (This summer Cunard lost the best pros by telling them they’d have to double as dance hosts at night and no longer could give private lessons past 845 pm to paying customers). I don’t have a regular partner so I have to either bring a dance pro, join a dance group or rely on dance pros. I’d prefer to just book a 45 minute session rather than wait for an occasional dance with a host, but seems that won’t be available unless they bring the real hosts back. I’m also interested in Queen Anne but worried about what the ballroom will be like. So holding off until there are real reviews. The only other really important thing to me is wifi in the cabins. I’m ok with the simple grilled fish and steamed veggies for meals.
  9. Thank you for the review, we embark in Quebec and will be in 5112, so right across the hall from you. I’m wondering if you had wifi access from the room? We are with anytime dining but I thought that might be a bit more flexible for us. We loved it on QV this summer. You don’t remember the name of the waiter you liked, do you? I got the refreshment package so am hoping we can each start the night with a bottle of sparkling water and that will avoid the refill issue…
  10. We had it last night…listed as 2013/2014 but serving 2016. Very nice. Saving the Corton for a special birthday dinner.
  11. She was aware, and aware she could have paid for a session. She was just angry that there weren’t “free” dance hosts.
  12. Yes, exactly, it is a 45 minute social dancing practice session, rather than a lesson with any training conversation—meaning there is no impact on other dancers. I agree with you!
  13. I was referring to the brand new prohibition on an evening lesson with the dance pros (which was a wonderful way for a lady without a partner to have a dance session and improve as well, and an important source of income for the pros). The pros are not and never have been dance hosts, but apparently a lady complained about the horror of seeing someone else enjoy a lesson that she herself didn't wish to pay for.
  14. Thanks! I will ask. We were in Princess Grill for our last two weeks on QE and loved it! But this time we are traveling with our daughter, so needed 2 cabins and wanted to try the specialty. And frankly hope to indulge a bit less—the food was exquisite!
  15. anyone know if there is a number that can be called regarding the dance pro/hosts policies? just the general number or is there a corporate or cruise director number?
  16. does that mean that only Grills passengers may attend?
  17. Anyone know what is next to the card room and across from the photo gallery on deck 3? We were assigned an obstructed oceanview on deck 4 (4124), which is right above that space on deck 3. Concerned about noise and vibration.… Not sure the obstructed oceanview is better than the guaranteed standard inside but at least a bit of natural light and 30 more feet…view appears fully blocked though. So I guess bad $300 upgrade bid, I didn’t realize how fully obstructed those are.
  18. Did you figure out what it looks like by any chance? We were assigned this cabin (upgrade from a standard inside for $300), probably wasn’t worth it and we much overbid, as it seems the view is fully blocked— but at least it has an extra 30 feet and a bit of natural light. I’m worried about what is on deck 3 across the photo gallery
  19. Do you happen to know if there is any issue with the obstructed oceanview cabins in front of 4148? We are assigned 4124 and the deck 3 area is across from the photos, but not clear what is there!
  20. Hello, we are bringing a 17 year old on the July 2-16 Scotland/Iceland voyage. (Turning 18 on the trip so that will be fun, but there are several sea days before then). Any ideas for sea day activities given that it won’t be pool weather? I understand she can use the gym but not the spa…
  21. Well at least I found for the day in Greenock…will want to cover a lot!
