  1. Missed this one, he was pretty decent I think. He definitely had a lot of energy at the two events I was at.
  2. And that's a wrap for the Carnival portion of my cruise week. I did walk off and it was super easy with the most difficult part being getting an elevator. I will definitely keep this on my list of ships to sail again. Now I'm at the San Pedro port waiting for it to open up since it was so easy getting off the ship.
  3. It's funny Myo and Inaashi were saying this had been one of their best runs with a lot of laid back and appreciative people. They say the 3 days are completely different with different people and there was even a fight at Alchemy last cruise. I find that so interesting.
  4. Mio made me another internet find called a Coca Smoke. He said he's going to remember it foe when someone ask for something with mezcal.
  5. Yesterday was this guy: And Tuesday was this one: One of the things I like about Carnival is the self serve laundromat. I wouldn't bother on a 3 orc4 day cruise usually but since I am hopping over to another 3 day tomorrow I figured it would be nice to have all my options even though I did pack for seven days. This machine didn't have a card swipe so I took that free wash.
  6. I've enjoyed the towel animals left by my room steward. He's been really quick once I leave my room to things all taken care of. Today was this guy:
  7. So today started with breakfast from the burrito bar then I had a nice salt scrub. Then it was time for the Alchemy cocktail class I got invited to last night. They made 1 cocktail regular and carbonated the gave us some absinthe. We then paired up and made a cocktail for each other. It was a lot of fun!
  8. Posted a couple of videos on the Gram at goddessocoffee but I went to go get something in my stomach and go caught up in the 80s dance party on the Lido deck.
  9. Negroni Myo style. Another sipping drink. The guy in the beer hat asked me if I've been here the entire time. I told him I left and came back and he said "oh yeah, you changed chairs". Reader, I do not remember this man.
  10. Oh, I'm so embarrassed. I've been calling him Myron and it's Myo. As someone who's name is always butchered I hate doing that.
  11. So Ishaani made me a Campari forward drinkshe called Jamaican ***** which was fantastic and a total sipping drink. Then they invited me to a mixology class at 1pm tomorrow so I have to change my salt scrub time.
  12. The ship has sounded its horn and my seat is vibrating so we are moving out of Port. I went and grabbed some of the prosciutto pizza and am back at the Blue Iguana. Dante set me out a water at the same time I asked for an Aperol Spritz so he firmly moves into first place of my fav bartenders on this ship. Lawrence is still #1 overall.
  13. It was cold but sunny around 8am so I went up to soak in the Serenity hot tub until the rain came. One of the other ladies told me about the sauna so sat in there to warm up for a while. I checked the spa list when coming out and decided to get a pedicure in an hour. Sine the Blue Iguana wasn't opened I hung out at the Red Frog until time for my appointment. While Pam was doing my pedicure she asked if I wanted to do a manicure as well and she'd give me a discount. I figured why not and I was very happy with both and with the discount it was under $100 with the included gratuity. By then the sun was out again so headed to get a Guy's burger and a drink at the now open Blue Iguana. Then the clouds came out so I went and got my jacket which prompted a fellow cruiser to show me his Ghost shirt and tattoo. Now I'm just chilling with my fav bartender and listening to the tunes on the Lido deck.
  14. You know I can't sat it did. Of course during events it was a little crowded but that's probably normal.
  15. Had a lot of fun at the atrium since while I was waiting on Dante they started the Mowtown Showdown which consisted of two sides of the atrium competing to see who can sing the loudest and a dance off by one person from each side. Our side won, of course. I then checked out the piano bar but the player wasn't the best. So I'm at the Alchemy Bar and Myron made me an old fashioned with a coffee bourbon. I did stop off at my room to grab more tip money and they had these letters for us.
  16. Caught the last of the officer introductions when I came down to the atrium bar to see if Dante was there yet. The stairs certainly are a really nice place to do this. I have to say that is one of the things I've really liked about the Carnival ships I've been on, the open airy atriums with the glass elevators. The only bad thing about them is how loud they get when there are bands in there.
  17. And that's Catalina canceled for tomorrow due to rough enough waves they don't want to chance operating the tenders. I know they were hoping it was going to calm enough with them making the change from today to tomorrow but that's a big ol' nope. They're docking in Ensenada tomorrow and then Thursday will be another sea day. I'm guessing with port fees I'll get back it should cover all my taxes that were charged while in Long Beach. On the plus side, more booze for me! Speaking of, I wanted to give Myron a challenge for a cocktail but all the good stuff I would have wanted takes different liquor then they have available here. So he did do me up a Tiki Bird (as close as you can get without the Golden Tiki's extension range of unique brands) which was really good.
  18. Okay, the Lido buffet is serving cake slices and the hot chocolate machine is working because a lady hot some right before I took the picture. I can also say that the Pig and Achor is not consistent since I stopped by and got the brisket and greens again but tried the slaw and pork as well. Got to say, the greens this time had meat and were sweeter than yesterday withnone of that great pepper previously. The brisket also had a bit of toughness with more fat in it but the coleslaw and pork were pretty good. So apparently your milage may very depending on when you get it. The pizza however was still on point and delicious.
  19. Well this is new. A lady came around with a box of tea bags and with the drink package it was free. So I grabbed a few and Dante was going to get me hot water but tea lady got it for me. I'm usually not a fan of Roobios but the French Lemon Ginger is really nice.
  20. I guess I really picked the right bar because Myron from Alchemy is here with Dante. We're talking about cocktails and I told him if he was down for it I'd challenge him tonight. Gonna go to one of my favorite YouTube channels How to Drink and grab a couple recipes for him.
  21. So the rain came down and people went inside. I went and got a spiked coffee and bought my ship magnet. I went to the forward deck on 10 to grab a picture and video of the nastiness for the gram then stopped in my room to putty magnet away. Figured I'd go back up to Serenity just to check and wonder of wonders the sun was now out. I jumped in the hot tub and did some relaxing in that just right water. After soaking a bit more people had come up there and started to get in so I toweled off and headed down to the Blue Iguana. My buddy Dante was there so I started with a Mexican Mule. He was asking where I was last night since he works the lobby bar then. Unfortunately every time I went by there he wasn't there so missed him.
  22. So I tried my best but the dreary weather and the ship rocking was too much and I went to bed by 8:30pm. Slept well once I got my earplugs in since the walls are thin and people be loud. Got up at about 10 and had a chicken biscuit for breakfast. Chicken is 10/10 but that was a sad, sad, biscuit. It was still cold and wet and as I was eating the downpour started. That killed my plan to head up to Serenity for a soak in the hot tub and quality Kindle time. So I bought my ship magnet and got a spiked coffee at the coffee shop. Pictures are acting odd so I'll continue in a new post.
