  1. It was the Beach Getaway and it basically was transportation, a chair, access to a pool and some equipment, and a limited open bar. Food or anything above what was on the drinks list was extra. I enjoyed it, especially since with the $50 excursion credit I had it was only $30.
  2. We head back at noon since the all aboard is at 12:30 so I start back to the bus around quarter to. Right now I'm just chilling contemplating another dip.
  3. Started lining up for the beach break at 6:45am before the sun had even come up. Got to the beach around quarter after 7 as the sun started coming up. It was mostly cloudy and we had some quick showers on and off during the morning. Had chicken nachos around 9 and a nice massage after. The sun finally came out around 10:30 and it started getting really busy around then too.
  4. Waiting for the band to start and I have an Ambrose to start with. I don't plan on being here long since my excursion to the beach meets at 6:45am. I'm gonna have to get up early to start relaxing.
  5. I asked there first and even though it is literally next them on this ship, they said they couldn't and I needed to go up to O'Sheehans. I took an espresso breve up to the Pourhouse last night and Lawrence put a shot of Jameson in it.it was much better then the other one
  6. Not much if any from what I can see. The beer list is basically the same for the bars I've been to. I'll see if I can't grab pics of the taps but they only have Stella and Budweiser on tap at the Pourhouse. Here's what they have in cans and bottles there: If the ship doesn't have the District your kinda shid out of luck on a good variety.
  7. Yep, they're not doing the solo meetings in the studio lounge now. At least on the Breakaway. They're having them in Bliss so no propping open doors.
  8. Today was Cozumel and I did the Myan Ruins and Tequila Appreciation tour that lasted about 4 hours. It was nice and not too long. I got back on the ship just in time for my scheduled set scrub. That was really nice and now I'm all smooth. Since I had only eaten breakfast, by the time I was done I was pretty hungry. I thought I'd go get me some wings and got sat at O'Sheehans. I ordered the Korean BBQ wings and a blue cheese burger. Looks good, right? Well it was bloody awful. The wings had soggy skin, not crispy and the tomatoes on the buger were mealy. The fries were cold and old. Maybe it was the time I went but man, I have never left so much food on the table. I might give it another chance later in the cruise but maybe not.
  9. Whoops, forgot a picture of the Dreamweaver. And day 3 for those interested.
  10. So after a short nap I went up to Maltings to contemplate where to have dinner. After an Eastern Legacy (no picture) and a Getaway I checked out the buffet. Shrimp night and butter paneer pulled me in. Then it was time for karaoke in Sid Norman's and Dr. L took care of me throughout the night. He is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite bartenders. I wouldn't be surprised to see him opening new ships in the future like Bong, Clarence, Romel, and Mary.
  11. Oh, I've had that on previous cruises and it is good. I actually just had one.
  12. Lobster roll from the Ocean Blue window for lunch and a sad Irish coffee. The coffee has to actually be decent for a good drink and this is not.
  13. Well not much going on today for our sea day. Just chilling and reading mostly. I haven't checked if the ropes course is open but it is pretty windy so I wouldn't be surprised if it is closed. I was very sad to not see any Indian food on the breakfast buffet. I guess Bliss and Encore spoiled me with that and the regular Breakaway doesn't do it. Sadness buffet.
  14. You don't even need to watch the video, you can check in at your station as soon as you board. They do a little speech over the PA system as well and run the singal during it.
  15. So far so good. The only thing I've heard missing so far is the Crown Royal.
  16. You can order wine no problem but if you can order cocktails then be prepared for a long wait. Best to get them from the bar and bring them in.
  17. Went back to my cabin to get ready for the solo meeting and dinner and my luggage was outside my door with my sword still inside. Had a cucumber basil at Shakers before heading down to the solo meeting. Another solo cruiser joined me for dinner at Cagney's on my Platinum voucher and we enjoyed our filet mingion and the rest of our meal. The server did bring up that we were allowed one appetizer, one entree, two sides, and one dessert before we ordered. I did the onion soup and mushrooms and mashed potatoes with my dinner I enjoyed the cheesecake for dessert.
  18. I'm on the Breakaway right now and at the solo meeting in Bliss the director brought up how they stopped giving access to the studio lounge to solo cruisers who didn't have a studio. Not sure if this is fleet wide but wouldn't be surprised if it was.
  19. Finally got into my studio and dropped off my back pack and cane part of my sword cane. We shall see if I get called to the naughty room or not for the sword part in my checked luggage. I did write a note apologizing for it since I bought it in NO and completely forgot about the cruise portion of my trip. I'm at the outside Maltings and think I have found my first favorite bartender. I've had a Pineapple Surplus and then something with Tequila and Midori.
  20. Onboard and got my dining reservations all buttoned up, scanned in at my muster station, and got my first drink. A Cariphina at the Mixx bar before heading into Taste for lunch. Ordered the risotto which is delicious. Menu for today's lunch:
  21. And now . . . More Waiting! One of the port ladies said they usually start boarding around 11:30 or noon. That's pretty normal. We did have an itinerary change that they told us about at check-in with a letter. So we've switched to Cozumel first and we now get in at 8:00 instead of 7:00. Then Costa Maya we get in at 6:00 and stay to 1:00 instead of 11:00 to 7:00. I actuallylike this better so no complaints from me.
  22. Got up too early so went around the block for a coffee and a ham and cheese roll. Got all packed up by about 8:30 so checked out and made a leisurely half hour stroll (with a little struggle with my luggage on some of the walks) to the Julia St. Port. Got here and saw a bunch of people sitting and no one in line and security confirmed check in didn't start until 9:30. So chilling out and watching all the people coming off from the ship going to the taxis and airport transfers. This is the first port that the people disembarking go through the same area at the same time as the people embarking that I have been in.
  23. So, I have this thing where if I'm inebriated I want to buy hats. Well, I passed by a store with some great hats and now I have a bowler. And a sword cane. It's a sickness.
