Just a comment on the previous post, I know they aren't berms since those are earth but I am blanking on what to call them. Breakwater? This going to bug me until I remember and yes, I could Google but I prefer the pain of trying to figure it out.

Still at Alchemy and I guess if you sit here long enough you get nibbles. My boy, Myo, made me a Jungle Bird and then after I finished that he made me something similar to the Bramble but with Whiskey. We left a little late but you could tell once we left the berms since we started rocking. I was not feeling up to karaoke so am still here but I can hear some of the karaoke people over the music here.

Took a little but finally the Alchemy Bar opened and I asked for a Bramble since I love them so. He had not heard of one but I showed him the basic recipe and he whipped up one with a few changes. It turned out really good and they did a little show while shaking up the inevitable of first orders. I'll throw that video up on my Insta since I don't think we can post those.

Waiting on the safety briefing to start since once it is complete Alchemy can start serving.

I got my bag and am unpacking for the 4 day. I have a porthole inside cabin, 1214, that is pretty nice. It's very roomy especially since I am cruising solo but would still be for 2 people. There is the shower curtain in bathroom and I prefer actual doors but it be like that sometimes. I had a fairly decent deal with $200 OBC so am happy with it. There was an upgrade offer for a balcony after final payment but it just was not worth it to me.

I'll be heading there as soon as it opens so will look for him!

Checked to see if my suitcase had been delivered yet and that's a nope. Decided to head up to Guy's Pig and Anchor to get some more food in my stomach to counteract the booze. Now, not gonna lie, based on the reviews I've seen here and the YouTube I wasn't expecting much. I got the beef brisket, mac and cheese, and collared greens. While the mac and cheese was some kind of unholy abomination the brisket and greens were really good. I'm not a fan of sweet greens and these were peppery and nicely cooked. The only complaint was the juice was a little . . . thick . . but otherwise delicious. The brisket was tender and flavorful which surprised me because of what I've read. There was also no one there so I don't think many people are aware of it since it is in a weird spot on the 10th deck above the lido.

So if you read my Breakaway thread, you'll know I like to drink. While I found my bartender soul mate in Lawrence aka Dr. Love on the Breakaway it's a little too early to say which bartender will be my favorite but Dante at the Tequila Bar is pretty high on the list. Hello, it's been sometime since my last cruise which was the Breakaway back in December of 2022 and now I'm doing two short cruises! The first is the 4 day on Carnival Radiance and then I disembark on 02/09 and head right over to the Royal Navigator of the Seas for a 3 day. Since I live in Las Vegas these are the closest ports to me. The usually cheap airfare tends to balance out the additional cruise fare these tend to run for some reason. Although with the Superb Owl in Vegas, a flight back on 02/09 was almost as much as another cruise. Serendipity prevailed and seeing the Navigator started the same time this ended, well, I had to book it. Both are new ships to me and while this will be my 4th(?) on Carnival but 1st time on a 4 day, it will only be my 2nd time on Royal with my first being Alaska on the Quantum back in 2022 with friends and family. Looking forward to both ships! It is not a great day here in Long Beach due to the storm that went through and is now a little further north but thankfully my flight this morning was not canceled so I am now sitting and the damp Blue Iguana Tequila Bar enjoying a spicy margarita. I did get the drink package with my $200 OBC and grabbed the value internet package when it was on sale. When I logged in they offered an upgrade to the premium for $8 so I grabbed it. And now I can torment the masses with a live blog. I did enjoy a chicken sandwich from Shaq's Shack and a Ting-a-ling from the pub. If you happen to be on this cruise, I'm the fat old lady wearing the sweet sweet Ghost jacket of which I've had 2 people tell me they love it already. Remember, if you have Ghost, you have everything.

So when they say it needs to be redeemed in 90 days and it is only applicable for cruises booked within that 90 days, it does not limit when the cruise is actually sailing. It means that you need to redeem it by sending it to Royal and asking it to be applied to a cruise that you have booked within that 90 day period. I got the onboard credit in September and used it for a cruise I booked a few days before for February with no problems. But if you had booked a cruise in May, you could not use the reward for that cruise since it's over 90 days from when you redeemed your award. Does that clear it up a bit?

So glad you did this review since I just booked for February 2024 and was hoping there was current review. Quick question, I did not see what internet package you bought and was wondering if you could tell me since the last time I was on the Imagination and even with the premium it was absolute crap. It didn't seem you had any issues though so hopefully this ship has a better set up.

The cruise has ended and I've been in the airport since a little after noon watching my flight keep getting pushed back. Currently it's now at 4:30 and our plane is on the way so that's hopefully the final time. I did definitely enjoy my time but have to say out of all the Breakaway and Breakaway plus ships I like the Bliss the best. Having the District and the Observation lounge would have been nice. Also, I've been getting ship magnets and I'll be damned if I could find one in the gift shop. They had some other ones in packaging but not the actual Breakaway one in the oval I like. Unless they swap things out on different days and I just missed it. Oh, I did get a surprise that they charged me for the water in my room when I'm supposed to get one as Platinum. When I asked about it they said I was supposed to have a free small one in the room and then a large one that would be extra. Okay, but there was only the large one so y'all missed putting that in my room. Thankfully the room steward called their manager and he told him to take it off. I had the + package so I could have just went and got another one for them if it was that important. I hung out until close to 9am before leaving and I did look for the luggage transfer service the port was supposed to have that would send your bags to the airport. I saw signs but got to the end of the hall and nothing. Finally got someone to understand what it was I was asking about and they had a desk in the hall I totally missed. Turns out I missed it because they had it roped off and a bunch of empty luggage carts blocking it with no one there. Called the number on the card too and went to voice mail. So while there is an area for it there doesn't appear to actually be an operating company doing it. I know some people had questions about it so Unless this was a fluke it doesn't appear to be an option at this time.

So here's a shocker. I went to check what beer was on tap at O'Sheehans and there were no taps. I went around the bar and nothing was there. So looks like the beer list is it.

Day 5 for those interested and I will make it to O'Sheehans bar for picture of their taps today.

Karaoke was fun and I didn't actually order any drinks, they just happened whenever Lawrence saw I was out. They were all good, too because I don't think he can make a bad one. Usually I'd turn around and see this: Or something like this: Then there would be magic. Cocktail magic, not Super Bong type of magic although he does cocktail magic as well. As you can probably tell from the beans, that one was coffee flavored. This one had gin if I remember correctly and citrus. This was the last of the night.

Oh, hey! Royal sounds familiar, it was right across from the Carousel Bar if I remember correctly.

Had a fantastic dinner at La Cucina with the osso bucco for the main. Had a glass of Veuve Clicquot to start and a great red on the sommelier recommendation which I totally forget the name of. Dessert was Panna cotta with an espresso and a glass of ice wine. Then I went and lost $45 in the casino fir reasons. Now I'm at Shakers sipping on a Lavender Patch while I wait for karaoke at 8:30. I'll be stopping by charbucks for a Carmel Marciano for Dr. L.

Welp, finally moving. The captain made an announcement before we left but I couldn't hear it because it's rowdy in the outside Sid Norman's. Did they get onboard? Did they leave them? Guess I'll never know unless there's a post soon about NCL leaving them in Costa Maya.

Hmm, the MSC right next to us is still here too even though their sign said 1:30 for all aboard.

You would think with charbucks only a few steps away they would be able to do it. I wonder if it's an issue with it being Starbucks, but still, I have the + so it'd be covered.

Right now we're still in port even though all aboard was 12:30 and it's 5 after 2:00. Part of that was some excursions getting back right at 12:30, mine got to the port about 12:20 then there was that stupid maze with a whole Wonder of the Seas unloading at the same time. So late departure was inevitable. However there are still two people they were asking to contact guest services as of 1/2 an hour ago.

Forgot to post my other drinks from Dr. L last night. I'm pretty sure this is one of the drinks on the Sid Norman's list but not sure. Then this one was also good and pretty sure not on the menu. And of course can't not have a special fashion with Whistle Pig when in there.

To the person asking about the beers - here's the list in all the general menus. I still need to stop by O'Sheehans but every other bar has Stella and some type of Budweiser on tap.
