One more thing! 😂 internet Starlink was on board. I have premium Wi-Fi. It worked very well when you were outside the cabin. I had no issues posting or accessing anything I wanted. Where the issue came in was in the cabin. I would have liked to have coffee in the morning in the cabin and catch up on my thread but it was slow and nonexistent. 😡 This was outside our cabin, but with the cabin door closed it was like being in a safe. No modems or whatever you need ( remember not a tech guy) in the room like on the Edge class. Will be interested to see how Beyond Wi-Fi is. Ok, really Cheers!

Well there she goes! Was going to go out to the beach and watch the ships sail out but the winds are crazy today. Sat at the pool today and got blown away! Headed to the room at 3 PM to watch golf. watched them sail out on the web cam. 😂 to continue my thoughts….. Security. I have to and want to give a shout out and thank you to security! They always welcome you back onboard and tell you to have a great day when you leave. Then they deal with us tourist that don’t put the right things through X-ray, leave phones in our pockets, ask us to remove our hats and many other issues they address with a smile. Sky Lounge We found on our second leg, what a great place to have a drink before dinner or during sail away. For us the Martini bar is getting a bit over done. Don’t get me eating it is still a fun place but exploring other options. Not sure who picks the piped in music for the bar but they need to know the audience. Also, we found playing cards there was nice, while people read, looked out the windows, or even a couple this past week practiced their dance steps. of course the trivia crowd eventually shows up! 😂 Until Boarding Beyond Tomorrow…. Good afternoon We made it to the Marriott! Off the ship at 9:30 and arrived to the hotel at 10:30. Great news was that our room was ready! DW packed my backpack with suits and flip flops but was able to check in. The cab line was long today! This morning I watched the suitcase dance. It is so well organized how they get all this luggage where it needs to go and get ready for the new people boarding. 🤔 Allow me to summarize the last 19 days. The Ship As shared that the girl needs a new dress but I will say that the staff keeping her glowing do an outstanding job. It’s sprayed, wiped, buffed, swept, vacuumed, and any other cleaning term you can think of. The furniture is tired and the old world look needs an update. With all that said it’s still a very nice shop. We have sailed her 3 separate times and she looks good each time. Staff i can’t say enough about the staff. Officers were front and center. They defiantly lead by example. You didn’t walk by anyone staff member that didn’t acknowledge you. Service at the bars and specialty restaurants outstanding, with a bit of an issue with Murano. They were good but just rushed you and I know you’ll hate this but didn’t deliver the experience., We said bye to Ivas last night. What a lady. Long conversation about Hondurans and her country. Her brother was killed at 21 over a cell phone. 🥲 Her husband works in the MDR and they are doing some great planning for the future. Sad goodbyes to the Sunset Bar team. I shared Ernesto but here is DWI! By the way we had a Captain change the second cruise and nothing changed! All good. Entertainment All was enjoyable and well done. I think the big hit was the Irish Tenors. We didn’t see any production shows, oh wait Barbie went to one “Broadway” while I went to the slot pull. She said it was well done and the kids had good voices my only observation of the ship entertainment was some of the timing. Last year we enjoyed sitting in the afternoon at Sunset Bar listening to solo acts. These two cruises the solo act didn’t come on, if it came on, until 5 PM. People are moving inside and ready for dinner and the night. There was a lot of afternoon entertainment in the Ensemble Lounge, it’s dark and inside. 😫 The Food As you know all we do is specialty venues. My first comment is i would have liked to have the Lawn Grill, an additional venue. La Petit Chef should be held maybe 4 nights and open up the restaurant to want Qsine use to be. La Petit is a nice event but every night! I’ve never seen it sold out and we have attended on 4 separate occasions. Casino Well on the first leg she and I didn’t get along. She treated me like a bad date, but we warmed up on the second leg! 🤪 All the team was great and made the craps table very enjoyable! Ok, time for a Marriott Cheeseburger! More to come! Cheers!

I am sitting at Al Bacio right now on Equinox. Everything is subjective in my view, but we have been on this ship for 18 days and the staff and officers have been outstanding. We have eaten in every specialty restaurant, that’s all we do and the food has been very good. I wrote in my live that the shine has come off of Murano but that wasn’t for the lack of staff. we have seen very little change and have enjoyed our cruise. we are boarding The Beyond Sunday for 14 days so will see how that goes. we sailed for 48 days last winter and will sail 47 this winter, as said 18 days in so far so will report. so far very enjoyable and worth the money! While DW is packing I was wondering around the ship and ran into this guy. He was pondering whether to visit Future Cruises. I told him next ship! Cheers!

After walking around it was time for a beer and a snack. Wellington “ without the beef” took care of us! IMG_5851.MOV we will be back at this port next Friday so will visit Wellington again! Dinner was in Murano. There had been a complete staff change from our last leg. It shine is still off. You can’t deny the food is good, it’s just the experience of the past wasn’t there. Maybe it’s this ship. We will reserve again on Reflection. I’ll give you a report. Then it was off tho Fortunes Casino for some craps! We had $170 OBC left so since DW got a nice new outfit last leg Daddy went to the casino! Turned that $170 into $296! $10 table. The sad thing is while we were playing two isles over in the slot area someone had a medical emergency. There were more officers that responded than you could imagine! 😀 Well sea day on the way to Ft Lauderdale. We will disembark and head to the Marriott for the day. Once there I’ll give some final thoughts of the first two legs. Cheers!

Good Morning! last full day of 2nd leg. DW is organizing for the move to Beyond so I thought we could catch up. Yesterday Puerto Plata, great port! first we had a visitor join us! IMG_5826.MOV I’ve read about Virgin and have to say it wouldn’t be for us. Not our vibe. How about hammocks on the balcony? Pretty shop though. DW asked about it when she was making reservations for our specialty dining. You shouldn’t have a problem getting in, as shared there were very few people. Cheers!

Dinner last night was the Taj Dinner. It was outside the dinning package, $45 PP plus 18%. As I said in the beginning, food is subjective. My thought on the event is we did it, it was an experience but would not try it again. Food was good but there were 6 couples. No event just Indian food served. I like experiences. it was another Captains Cocktail party last night. Barbie with Peter the Cruise Director Barbie with the Captain.( he was jealous that she got her pic with Peter first) Another nice event with a great staff! Sitting in the Sky Lounge Just set sail. more on today later, my Tito’s is watering down! 🍸😂 Cheers!

Ok I have to share what happened yesterday. I mentioned we were going to play Deal or no Deal. Sooooooo! First you buy your cards, Then you show up and…..you are selected to play the game! 🙄 yes that’s me on the right. For those who knows the game, I selected suitcase 8 because that is my DW birthday. We start out and do fairly well. Then the offers started. I get down to 5 suitcases. A penny, 50 cents, $50 along with $100 and hold on $1,000. I am offered $223 to buy my suitcase. If I continue and pick the $1,000 suitcase then my offer really drops. I take the $223 offer, How can I pick the $1,000 suitcase out of 20 cases? 🤔 ok you are getting a head of me. We continue but I am out. The offers would have gone up because I select the low numbers. ok the end……I had the $1,000 case! 😫 All I can say was that it was fun and the money went to DW Home Goods fund ( for those that know that store) 😂 Cheers
