I know, so weird. I’m just one of those sensitive folks who wants to make all their jobs a little easier and more pleasant,

I understand and sympathize that room stewards have to sift through our room trash to sort it for recycling, etc. We try to be courteous by using sanitation bags for baby wipes, dental floss, etc. Last cruise we had to keep asking for more sanitary bags, which was a little weird. Any tips on how to make trash more bearable for these poor folks to sort through?

I always take a tiny tree from the dollar store that has a string of mini plug-in lights.

Hi! I’m leaving in a week and am one of those weirdos who loves to organize things…especially in small spaces like cabins. Please post pics or ideas of how you’ve organized your cabin, any tricks you’ve learned, special organization tools that seem to work best for you, etc. Thank you!

Yes!!! I love the streizel bread!! I even tried to make some when I got home, but it was a major fail. Once, my friend even pirated a couple pieces off for me when they were cruising. 😊 Not sure why, but I love it!

We are on the August 22 sailing and they’ve cancelled the glacier and icy strait. We are getting $100 OBC. I believe that’s per balcony room, not per person.

I’m on this sailing also! We just got word that our helicopter/dogsledding excursion in Juneau has been cancelled. Something about too much rain making the snow melt and having to end tours early. I can’t help but be disappointed. This was not a RC excursion, so not sure what’s up with theirs. RC did cancel another excursion of mine…the train in Skagway. Lots of flexibility needed this trip, I think.

I’m scheduled to be on the Aug 22 sailing and we can’t decide what to do…our itinerary is still the same if I go on RC’s site, but the RC app shows an itinerary change for us (skipping the glacier). We are trying to decide if we should scrap the cruise and just do a Seattle/Oregon road trip (too expensive to change our Seattle flights) For some of you more experienced sailors, do you think all signs are pointing to them pulling out of the glacier for the 22nd as well? This is supposed to be our first Alaska cruise and the glacier day seems pretty important… is it the highlight of the trip? Kinda hate to do a “glacier cruise” without the glacier. thanks!
