  1. Works for me, but does that really do him justice? Giant Jeff? Colossal Jeff? Enormous Jeff?
  2. Maybe the only boxing fan, but not the only Patsy Cline fan. 😁 🏴‍☠️
  3. I've only watched this guy a couple times and I agree! Steve Irwin's son, Robert Irwin, is also better than this guy. Did you see Robert with Kevin Hart on Jimmy Kimmel?
  4. My experience is it depends on your relationship with staff, I have good success (~50%?)with a server or two each cruise who become my favorites - I tip $2/drink at the table games, $3-$5/drink last night depending on how I did. Some are even proactive, they'll bring you a drink without you asking, no slip to sign and say something like "you're at 14 drinks".
  5. Paul, I wasn't going to post anything about your dad's passing, but thought better of it when I considered the analytical approach to surviving the loss of a loved one might help you, like it helped me a lot when my mom passed away in 2016 - not when someone first shared it with me (too soon) but after a little time passed and I was ready to use it. The idea is first to memorize the five stages (it's a quick read), then when you're feeling overwhelmed, confused... anything, you analyze which stage of recovery you're in, keeping in mind the stages can overlap and that you can be feeling more than one of them at a time. Hope it helps. And I hope your cruise is awesome and you hit a jackpot in the casino. 6. "Hmmm, smells like kibbles and bits" I think that's Canaletto's work, Venezia's finest.
  7. UPDATE 33: Photo Release: Unified Command continues to clear wreckage from the bottom of the Patapsco River (keybridgeresponse2024.com)
  8. First cruise ship leaves Port of Baltimore since Key Bridge collapse (msn.com)
  9. I'd give'm a strong second-place finish to Port Days. Hey, nothing wrong with second place. 😁 🏴‍☠️
  10. Venezia felt very different than Horizon or Vista to me, even if they're similar/same class. Looking forward to following along, don't miss The Vessel sculpture on sailaway if you haven't seen it in person. I think it's around 34th St on Hudson River but off the water about 100 yards, soon after leaving port (48th St). Have fun!
  11. Who DARES question the great, magnificent, magniloquent ninjacat!? Cat Fighting GIF - Find & Share on GIPHY
  12. Sorry I can't remember, but Mardi Gras offers lots of new lunch alternatives the pre-Excel ships didn't, in case you want to try - I'll name a few but I'm sure others can add some I'm not thinking of... Shaq's Chicken, Shawarma, etc. Here's a link to a previous similar thread, and it incudes the Fun Times lunch offerings...
  13. It's called Comfort Inn Manhattan - Midtown West and is aways my choice when taking a cruise out of Manhattan. I'd say about a five-minute walk if you have a wheeled carry-on and backpack. But it's an easy, level walk in a safe part of town. If you want to add some real value to your vacation that contrasts with the Caribbean, stay a couple nights and explore Times Square which is only a ten-minute brisk walk. Lots of GREAT restaurants in the area. So much to do in Manhattan, IMO NYC is the only city in USA that competes with great cities of the world like Paris, Rome, Shanghai, etc. Every time I go I find I know less about it. If you plan to do Times Square, make sure you visit at night when the lights are all on.
  14. Correct, three air-to-air refuelings as detailed in jimbo's link. Great story, including the ending (boy is recovering).
  15. (20+) Video | Facebook sorry, but I'm overdue for some kind of Seinfeld-related contribution.
