  1. We took the Conquest out of NOLA a couple of years ago and can honestly say that it was our least favorite ship and least favorite cruise. That being said, a vacation is what you make it. If you can have a good time in a 4 x 4 room with your cruise mate for a week then why was being on this ship so hard? You said that you get what you pay for and you got a great deal. You also said that your expectations weren't high to begin with. If your expectations are low then your experience will prove to follow along with your expectations. My cruise on the Conquest was not my favorite but that doesn't deter me from desiring to take another cruise. Every cruise line is different and every ship is different. That is how and why we have so many choices. I am glad you at least stated the things you liked about the cruise but most of the things that you didn't like we're belong anyone's control and no fault of anyone in particular. I have personally never been to a ship buffet that wasn't crowded. That is why the MDR is open. Thank you for the review. Perhaps you should book a vacation on a remote island somewhere away from people that might irritate you.

i am thinking the same thing.

  2. Hi ladies

First cruise and I am in need of formal dresses. What would be the best dress style for a fluffy woman? Would rather not do sleeveless. Any pictures or stores/websites to look at would be appreciated

    Thanks

I have always found a cute dressy dress for different occasions in Dillards. Not really expensive at all.

  3. I know this going to sound weird, but I do not eat red meat. Could I fill up on salad and dessert? My hubby loves red meat and would really enjoy this dining experience. Can someone give me an idea what is on the salad bar and do they have chicken or seafood? Thanks in advance!

  4. I think the whole ship should be enclosed in steel mesh netting, because more people have gone over board than have drowned in cruise ship pools........has anyone ever drown in a cruise ship pool?? ...as in dead drowned???

Yes, as a matter of fact, a 6yr.old little boy drowned on a cruise ship very recently.

  5. I don't understand the point of them either, although I do understand people wanting to "save up" in little amounts for the cruise, but what I do is just put an extra $20 or $50 (in cash) into an envelope every month or whenever I have extra money. It's hidden, so it's an "out of sight, out of mind" thing and I usually forget about it until it's time to go on vacation.

We don't spend $5.00 bills. When we get one, we put it into an envelope and deposit once a month at the bank. You would be surprised how quickly it can add up!

  6. I have been going thru some searches here to find the Fun Times (Eastern) but keep coming up with western.. I checked John Heald's blog and couldn't find them there either ???

Any suggestions would be appreciated ! Thanks :D

Where did you find the Fun Times for the western route? I would really like to see it.
