  1. I received a tip from Cruise Critic and won't go on a cruise without it. We pack a pop-up hamper. It fits nicely in the closet and keeps dirty clothes out of the way and easy access for laundry day. It folds flat in the suitcase we use.

We just put the dirty clothes in the suitcase under the bed. That way you don't waste space on the closet floor.

  2. Really enjoying the review of the Spirit (we sail her 2/5/12). The only thing I question is the fact that your little princess, at age 3, was able to zip line alone. Boy, I would have a serious problem with that. My kids are grown and gone on their own and I worry about them all the time (they are 39 and 30).

  3. If transplanted (23 years ago) Ohioians count, then we love to love to cruise. We try to go at least once a year with friends and are right now looking forward to going in February. I will try to watch this board and maybe enter a conversation once in awhile.

We live in Fairfield, OH, about 30 miles out of Cincinnati.

  4. Um, if my spouse died before we could leave on our cruise, I really don't think the first, ok, the second thing, that I would be concerned about was if the cruise line was going to charge me the single's supplement instead of the couple cost. Maybe, I would be more concerned about the fact that my hubby had died instead of the cost of a cruise.

    But then, that's just me!

  5. I hate to admit it, but I am in my 50's and I still sleep with a stuffed owl. I even have a travel sleep owl that has gone all over the world with us and has slept in many hotels and on many cruise ships. I never take my "at home owl" with us when we travel, because I have lost 1 owl on a cruise, and I was heartbroken.
