  1. We booked this cruise a couple of weeks ago and have no excursions booked.  I prefer to do excursions that are not through the cruise line.  Are there any “must see”. Places that you might suggest from your past experience.   I am 73 and my sister is 80, but we can move.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

  2. I recently booked Hawaii on the Ruby, 1/16/22.  I couldn’t get the Medallion app to take my country of origin or my Covid statement. Isle t 2 hours on with Princess/Medallion guy yesterday.  He was very pleasant and helpful, but at the end of my 2 hours, he said that he had to fill out a ticket cause there was a glitch in the system.  I asked if it was a glitch on my account only.  He couldn’t stop laughing after that saying that that was all he does all day working on peoples’ glitches.

For any Mayan ruins tours in Costa Maya, highly recommend using Native Choice, versus any cruise ship tours.  Excellent guides, smaller groups.   Good vehicles.   If you are looking at a "bubble tour" because  unvaxxed persons in your party, you can ask them.

I booked a cruise for my husband and I in one room, and my son and 3 grandsons in another room, for Jan 16, 2022.  The grandsons will be 15, 16, and 17 at the time of cruising.  All are unvaccinated and show no signs of getting vaccinated.  Do I wait for Carnival to deny the exemptions that they don't really qualify for?  Do I try to reschedule out a year and hope the insanity stops?  Do I ask Carnival to DROP the 3 boys from the reservation and attempt to get my retired, vaccinated brother to bunk with my son?  Or do we allow the trip insurance to kick in?

To make things more interesting, our original ports were Grand Cayman, Ocho Rios and Cozumel, so I really have no idea what our actual itinerary will be in January.  If Carnival subs a port in the Bahamas, I'm pretty sure that Carnival will have to cancel us.

And to layer yet another issue onto the issue, I just discovered that my travel agent booked us with non refundable deposits, which I'm assuming means that Carnival can tell us to go pound sand, pocket the $750 deposit, and rebook our cabins.   Any thoughts?  Any advice?

Tell the kids to get vaccinated.  It is their civic duty and they should not be privileged with a cruise to expose people.

There is proof that people can contract covid more than once.

My neighbor just got over it for the second time.  I think it was a year later.  She still is not getting vaccinated.  My daughter had it pretty bad.  She is in the medical field and if she could have got 1 medical professional to tell her that she did not need two shots to be vaccinated, she would have skipped it.  She could not.  They do not tell you that you don’t need a double vaccination if you already had COVID.

  6. I have booked 3 Cloud 9 Spa Interiors on the Celebration.  We have2 people in each.  Should my grandson prefer to stay in his patents’s cabin,  I was looking at the Cove Balconies, which appear to have a sofa.  I was hoping this meant that they open to a bed.  TA. Told me that these are sofas and do not open as these cabins are intended for 2 people.  Does anyone have a suggestion?  It appears that they could not be in a spa cabin.  I looked at balconies thinking I would then buy them spa passes.  A lot of those indicate that they are only for 2 people.  Your experience would be helpful. ThankYou.

  7. I am looking at one of these on the Celebration.  It has a sofa and I’m wondering if anyone can confirm for me that this opens to a bed.  I’m aware that it is a room for 2 people.  My grandson is booked in a room with me, but I am looking at this for his parents as he may prefer to stay with them.  Anyone stay in a Cloud 9 Cove on the Mardi Gras?

  8. Is the only difference between  Chacchoben Mayan Ruins $85.99, 4 hours and

Exclusive VIP Chacchoben Drive $119.99, 3.5 hours that the second is private for you and your group?

Has anyone done the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins & Blue Lagoon $129.99, 6.5 hours?

Any thoughts on Kohunlich Mayan Ruins $119.99, 6 hours?

We have over a year so I’m hoping things will be a bit easier then.

This will be our 1 “Ruins” tours and I’d appreciate any thoughts.  Thank you.

  9. Vaccine passports or a reasonable facsimile needs to be implemented.  I don’t care if the government knows that I am vaccinated.  They gave it to me.  Other countries seem to be putting them in place and businesses are starting to ask employees if they are vaccinated.  It would be the best answer.  It is getting people to get vaccinated if they need it to get in a restaurant.

No, this OBC is tied to people.  I needed to get my sister who was on the original booking to sign over her "share" of the OBC and FCC to me even though I paid for it.

    This is on my receipt
