  1. I got a pair of cucumber patches delivered to our cabin...does that count?
  2. Good times with sis. Picked us up at 9 am. Good to spend time with her again.
  3. LOL...didn't last long. Standing on the aft on deck 12, saw this coming at us quickly. Now pouring rain all over the tour groups on the dock below us.
  4. My sister just sent this picture of us coming in from her condo balcony, she is staying very close to the port.
  5. Hello Bonaire! Meeting my sister here again, as this is the island she is spending the week on. Picking us up to spend the day at her rental beach condo.
  6. Thanks! She and I could be twins, and get that all the time, though she is 3 years younger than I am. Really messes her up when I come to see her at her clinic. They all think I am the doctor...I told Laurie I was writing scripts for them. 😄 Even funnier when I visit her in the hospital...nurses chasing me down with questions.
  7. Passport cards...not taken from us, and go with us into every port. Not Drivers License.
  8. Day in Curacao. Loved seeing my sister today. She was a bummed we were not spending Christmas with her. So she followed us. 😉 Favorite restaurant, Ceviche 91 Gastopub at the harbor. Locks of love across from the swing bridge. Largest, oldest pedestrian swing bridge in the world. Bucky checking out the lovely local lady!
  9. It was tough to tell. We think it was, but it was very confusing as to the entrance. We were meeting my sister at a favorite restaurant for lunch in the RIF fort, so did not investigate further.
  10. Reference @doghog...he never travels without his duck tape...neither do I. 😉
  11. Sister delayed on her puddle jumper from Bonaire. Chillin' on board relaxing. Curacao harbor:
  12. Yup, this is the case. One day on the Viking Vidar, we were sitting in the lounge and the locals came on board, given the boxes of passports. Loud stamping noise for 1/2 hour. What a boring job that must be. 😮
  13. Spotted this fishing charter coming in yesterday in Aruba. Sushi anyone? Waaaahoooo!! 😉
  14. Not sure if this will be the case for future segments...but I am guessing it is. We were never told in advance ourselves. Was a bit of a surprise...but what were we to do? This happened on our 3 week European Viking river cruise a couple of months ago as well. Was miffed at first, then got used to it. Was told it was for the ship staff to present at each different country we visit. Definitely stiffer laws than just bouncing around the Carib. At least we did not need to apply for Visas on this first quarter.
  15. Another observation. Mid ship glass wall elevators, two on the inside looking over the Centrum, four on the outside facing the ocean (and the only ones that go up to decks 12 and 13). Of the four outside elevators, one has not worked (stuck on deck 12) for the whole cruise so far. 😕 Luckily not a full ship.
  16. LOL...he should weigh 400 pounds with all the cookies, candy, and sweets he likes to eat!! Me, if I even smell food I gain 10 pounds. 😝
  17. One thing I forgot to mention...and this may be more related to the team of "I always take my passport into the ports of call". Sorry people, no can do if you were on this cruise. They collected all passports at check in and will hold them until you end your cruise, be it 274 days or just a segment/quarter. Me...no worries, as we always take our passport cards into port, and leave our passports in the safe. So now they are in the really big Serenade safe.
  18. Bonaire is beautiful. And when we used to snorkel...it was THE place to snorkel and dive. Water is gorgeous! All the ABCs owned by the Kingdom of the Netherlands. We don't snorkel any longer...Bucky freezes his skinny ass off too much. 😄
