  1. It did in ours. Was hot in there when we got back... before I learned to just leave a folded piece of paper in the circuit break slot. As I stated...we always turn off the lights when we leave the cabin, but I don't want to come back to a sauna when we return.
  2. I have never had a card already in the circuit closer upon entering a cabin...but then again those types of cabins are becoming rare for us since we are tending to do smaller, older ships that don't have them.
  3. No, I meant the employee door inside Izumi. Have seen employees and tours come through that back door by the sushi bar.
  4. LOL...always someone out there trying to sell you something you don't need. 😄 😄
  5. Gee...where did I read that before? 😉
  6. I brought solar "candles" on the World Cruise. Recharge on the balcony, place in the bathroom at night. No worries about bringing batteries. 😉
  7. Yeah, I think your bro wanted to bring the same thing. 😄 😄
  8. Was that the employee entrance door on the back wall next to the bar? Have seen group tours come out of there before.
  9. Folded piece of paper cuts the circuit. Please don't stress over unneeded purchased cards, or any other card for that matter. 🧐
  10. Just returned from 63 night Serenade (first quarter World Cruise). We had one 28 inch suit case each, and one duffle bag each with "slide handles" that go over the top of those suitcases. Each of us had one rolling carry on bag. In one duffle bag was a highly compressed 1.5 inch mattress pad, that I cut to size when we got there. (Yes those king size beds are not king size). Totally happy to have that as the mattress (though new) supplied by the ship was like a rock. One duffle had just about all of our medicine cabinet tossed in, plus favorite toiletries. We are about to complete the last quarter (62 nights) in July. Will be repeat of the above. 😉
  11. I leave the piece of paper, or could use business card idea, in the switch the whole cruise also. I want to come back to a cabin that is not hot after a day in port. We do adjust the temp up a bit before we leave and always turn off all the lights. It's the same like at home. No difference.
  12. Besides the class we also ate there twice during the first quarter we were on...both times were very good also. Ellen set us up for both lunches. She even joined the group of us one day. 🙂
  13. We did the class on the 2nd week after Miami. Looks like new instructor/chef from who we had. And the hat is different. Kind of looks like you want to say "You want fries with that"? 😄 Looks yummy, good job John! And you got to eat your class work! 😉
  14. Not stupid. I love using mine when I book smaller cabins. On really long trips, I will take two of them.
  15. You actually don't need to use a card at all. I just fold up a piece of paper to push into the reader. It works just fine, and I don't have to buy one...or remember to take the dummy card with me when I leave. 😉
  16. Poor Dave had a nightmare with his destroyed suit case the airlines put through a trash compactor it seemed....duck tape to the rescue! Actually I think his suitcase looked worse than the picture I posted. 😮
  17. Totally agree. I purposely buy shorts/capris/pants with back pockets to take on a cruise. That is where my sea pass card goes. The lanyard around my neck would annoy the heck out of me. Moooooo...... 😉
  18. Oh that's right....and I bring a roll myself. And of course it's pink. 😄
  19. A couple of other things I forgot: Insulated coffee mugs with tops. (I pour coffee into them from the paper cups at the machine...to bring back to "sleeping beauty"). 😉 Our own bar soap...not happy with the chips of soap they give you, and very easy to pack. A fold up collapsible laundry hamper. Small bottle of dish soap for washing the mugs and wine glasses, etc. Fold flat portable wash basin for hand washing light things, and extra plastic hangers. Packs of ones and fives picked up from the bank ahead of time for cash tips.
  20. Yeah, I think your bro Bucky is in that kennel with you. 😄 😄
