  1. We have used Luggage Forward, but it has been a few years, 2017. We had no problems and had the luggage delivered directly to the ship, London on Viking Sea. Have also used Luggage Free to NYC on Crystal Serenity, again no problems. This October we will be using Luggage Forward to Tokyo for an Explorer cruise. Since we have a 3 day pre cruise stay we intend to have it shipped directly to the hotel. We intend to use Air Tags this time just in case. In our experience it is well worth the expense. Not having to deal with luggage is a good thing.
  2. We are on the 10/31 Explorer cruise, RT Tokyo and booked the same non stop to Atlanta for the same 1k upcharge. We didn’t use a TA and worked directly with the Regent Air people. Pleased with the call and the booking.
  3. Yes, even then I always ask for an on line payment option.
  4. I’m one of those people that won’t give out CC# to anybody over the phone. I found it simple to pay on the RSSC website.
  5. I flew Atlanta to Bangkok in 2019 with connection in Seoul. We had a non stop on KAL from Atlanta and the connecting flight was on the same 747 on KAL. All in the same terminal, easy connection. The terminal in Seoul was very nice. Return we had KAL Hong Kong , connecting flight in Seoul and then non stop KAL to Atlanta. Again, connections were easy. I don’t know if KAL still runs these flights but they were a good choice and an alternative to Delta. I don’t know where the Delta gates were, but I assume they were in the same terminal.
  6. My information is a bit dated and limited but here it is. We flew into Bangkok did an overnight at the airport Intercontinental and flew to Seim Reap the next day. This was April 2019. Easy flight, 55 minutes. Siem Reap airport is small and easy to navigate. One runway, open air terminal, the only crowd will be from your plane. At that time most travel sites recommended getting your visa upon arrival at Siem Reap which we did. Back then it was $30/person, US dollars preferred payment method, and you will find that the dollar is widely accepted in Cambodia. I don’t recall the rest of the visa details but we flew back to Bangkok after 3 days, embarked Viking Orion and stopped in Sihanoukville a few days later. No additional visa was required. Enjoy your adventure, Angkor Wat and surrounding area was incredible. BTW, we stayed in Park Hyatt in central Siem Reap, highly recommended.
  7. Thanks for the input. We decided to stay with AC outbound. We arrive in international terminal at AC gates, and leave from the same terminal on AC flight. Since we will not have checked luggage it should be (famous last words) an easy transfer.
  8. My sincere apologies, the upcharge on the outbound was 6300 for two. still a bit much.
  9. We aren’t going from Delta to AC. It would be AC all the way outbound from the same terminal.
  10. Yes another air thread, here goes. We are on the10/31 Tokyo sailing with 3 day pre cruise stay. I called Regent Air to try and get my preferred flights and this is what I ended up with: I tried to get Delta non stops both directions. Outbound it was a 6300/per person up charge, I passed on that. They offered a few options that didn’t work for one reason or another, finally they offered Air Canada, Atlanta to Montreal, layover 1hr 40 minutes. Then Air Canada to Narita. No upcharge. I know Air Canada is not known as a preferred carrier but my choices are limited. I was concerned about the 1:40 connection time but we will only have carry on luggage, sending luggage ahead to hotel with Luggage Forward. Since we arrive in international terminal, same carrier, I think the 1:40 connection will work. Someone reassure me please. Return worked out well, got the Delta non stop to Atlanta for 1000/pp upcharge. I need to confirm by morning. Comments welcome.
  11. Nice to see all of the interest in the Tokyo itineraries. We just booked the 10/31 departure and used the upgrade promo they are running for the 2 category upgrade. They also credited us 200/person for not needing a pre cruise hotel because we booked Penthouse suite and the complimentary 3 day pre Tokyo package. Also received a 300/person credit for being on Regent in the past. Looking forward to returning to Regent
