Good sunny afternoon. It’s a beautiful end of summer day, with a high in the 70’s. I’m loving all the pictures of London. I wa in Southampton to disembark QM2 on my first crossing. @durangoscots, Susan, I know exactly where Muswell Hill is located. I have visited my Moravian church house headquarters for the British province ther and attended services at Hornsey located across the street. @Quartzsite Cruiser, Lenda, I once did a night time ghost tour at the Tower of London and wish I could go back again. Good sunny and breezy afternoon. It’s a beautiful day here and I wish it would last. On Labor Day in 1997 I was in Juneau on my first Alaska trip. I did the Mendenhall river rafting and I still have the shirt from the trip. Direct tv and Disney are in a contract dispute and as a result we’ve lost our ABC channel. I hope it doesn’t go on too long Have a safe and blessed day.

Good cloudy evening. The weather is deciding if it wants to rain or not. We had chicken bbq for dinner tonight from Bird in hand Fire Company. They always do a great job. This is a major fundraiser for them It’s a half chicken, dinner rolls, sweet pickles. applesauce, chips, ice tea and a Whoopie pie for dessert. The person in front of us was picking up 23 dinners. Next up is pot pie in February. Community support is so very important to these all volunteer companies. I hope everyone has a good evening.

Good cloudy and humid morning. It’s hard to believe that it has been 27 years since Princess Diana was killed in the car crash. I was onboard the old Nieuw Amsterdam just sailing from Vancouver when the news broke that she had died.💔 Last year on this date is when Danelo Cavalcante made his escape and began the 2 weeks of terror for people in the area Strangely enough he was actually back in court yesterday to be charged on the escape and burglary charges. He did plead guilty and was sentenced for an additional 10 years to his life sentence. I hope everyone has a good day.

Good damp and cloudy evening. I can’t believe it is the end of summer already. I used to spend this weekend at the beach for many years, I miss it so much. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Good sunny morning. It’s going to be a hot one today and even hotter tomorrow. I was a bad cat mom last night and accidentally locked Tux in the space between the front door and the screen door overnight. DB heard a faint voice and went looking for him when he got up this morning. He was not very happy with me but is okay now. It won’t happen again. I know it’s early but Hotel Hershey just opened up reservations for Thanksgiving buffet. I’m booked for 12 noon. Blessings and prayers to all on our journey.

Good hot and sunny afternoon. Tomorrow is neat 90 and hotter on Wednesday. Most of the schools started back today and I am sure they will be dismissing early due to lack of air conditioning in some of the buildings. FWIW, Philadelphia has already announced 63 schools are closing early due to lack of air conditioning. We go thru this every year. Good warm evening. It’s going to be back to summer heat this week, with Wednesday near 96. Prayers are needed for an unnamed family in Harvey Cedars/Long Beach Island NJ whose child died in a boating accident this afternoon. The news reports are too graphic to post here. Please lord watch over the first responders as they process this tragedy.💔🙏 I hope everyone has a peaceful evening.

Longwood Gardens from earlier today. It was members appreciation day. We got there at opening and left at noon. The caladiums were huge.

Good chilly and sunny morning. It’s currently 52 with a high of 72 expected today. I have a haircut appointment this morning. It’s way overdue. In some more good news, the drawbridge at the Cape May canal has been repaired 🎉 tThey were able to locate a replacement motor and worked around the clock to replace it. Good warm and sunny and humid morning. Storms are expected this afternoon. Today is my DB birthday. It’s also the 2nd anniversary for our car. I’m remembering many of his birthday celebrations when we were on vacation at the beach or in Scotland to see the tattoo. The fur babies said we need to go out for dinner tonight, so he doesn’t need to cook. I hope everyone has a great day

Good cloudy afternoon. There is a thunderstorm watch in effect until 10 pm . I don’t know how many on the daily are familiar with Cape May N J , but they are now facing some major traffic issues. There is a drawbridge over the Cape May canal ( ocean access) that connects Wildwood Crest to Cape May. The bridge is now stuck in the open position due to a motor failure. It is not repairable and may take weeks to locate a replacement. This is going to create major traffic issues as well as Emergency Services response issues .
