I’m sad to say I have had more bad news today. My dear friend Lynda whose husband Bill passed 3 days before Christmas, has joined him in heaven. She passed this afternoon, after her cancer returned with a vengeance. 💔🙏

Good sunny morning. It’s supposed to be a nice day and warmer tomorrow and Saturday. No further updates on this situation in Philadelphia. They expect to start searching the property today as it was not safe yesterday. Still saying 6 unaccounted for. Blessings and prayers to all on our lists.

Prayers are desperately needed for a situation taking place outside Philadelphia late this afternoon. A person called 911 with a report of an 11 year old child being shot . Upon arrival, the individual opened fire on 2 police officers and then proceeded to set the house ablaze. At this point, the 2 officers are hospitalized in stable condition and it is not clear if any child was injured or if it was a ruse. According to the latest news report, 6 people are unaccounted for and the house was destroyed.💔🙏

Good sunny afternoon. I have been to St Thomas many times since 1978z I hope to see it again someday. Today is a sad memory day, 4 years ago I lost a special friend Mabel. She was like a second mother to me and a cruising companion. I’m grateful she didn’t have to deal with the Covid situation that would not have allowed me to say goodbye. @grapau27, I just received an alert on BBC news that Hid Majesty King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer. 🙏 for his recovery.

@Denise T, Not sure where you need to look for ranges in your area but I just wanted to let you know that Martin’s Appliance on 422 east in Exeter ( aside of Exeter family restaurant) shows ranges in stock. We purchased a refrigerator from them several years ago and had great service. Good luck.

Back from breakfast. The restaurant was really crowded, had to wait about 25 minutes and was still full when we left. Next upcoming event is Friday February 9tf is National Pizza Day. @POA1, I had an email from Anthony’s CFP for a dine in only special of a large cheese pizza for $ 10.00. Good drizzly morning. Sunny tomorrow. I’m thinking of a former coworker today on Groundhog Day. It was always a big celebration for her, She had stuffed animals in all sizes and made cookies with a groundhog shaped cutter and finally achieved her dream of seeing Phil in person. I believe it was her dad’s birthday so it was always a special day for them. I am still troubled by the cruel comments regarding helping our fur family and am happy the offending posts ere removed. . Today is a sad day in history. On this date in 2003 , the space shuttle Columbia broke apart during re-entry. All seven astronauts were killed. 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

Good chilly morning.It’s supposed to be a nice weekend. I did a partial canal transit in 2012. All ships tours were canceled due to political unrest in Colon. It was a good trip except for the return to Florida. Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast and all flights were cancelled. @Crazy For Cats, Jake, an update on the fire. The damage was to the kitchen and front lobby area. The fire suppression system helped to prevent it from spreading. They do plan to rebuild. The saving grace is that the Bird in Hand Fire Company is basically 2 minutes away from their location. Other area companies are also fairly close by . Blessings and prayers to all on our lists.

@Crazy For Cats, Jake, there was another fire late last night at Bird in Hand restaurant. It went to 2 alarms and burned through the roof. No further details at this time.

Update on Steve, he had the staples removed yesterday and the surgeon is pleased with the progress. He sees him again on Feb 23rd and therapy will start at month 3 . He also got a new more rigid brace. He was told it will be a year before he is back to normal. Denise said he is actually behaving. Blessings and prayers to all on our lists.
