  1. That was the ugliest 2nd period I've ever seen the Devils play. Switched to the Yankee game. 😖
  2. Patti is back at Paradise Beach where she makes friends with a couple of parrots….. We decided to order something to eat. Patti has a Caesar salad and a pizza….. I have a shrimp cocktail, chicken fingers, and a bacon cheeseburger….. To be continued…..
  3. Here is the Beach Bar and Taco Truck….. Patti comes back to the pool to find me engaged in conversation with other Celebration passengers….. Henna Tattoo anyone? Patti heads down the beach to check out Carlos ‘n Charlie’s Beach Club next door….. To be continued…..
  4. Patti walks over to the other side of the property where there is another bar and a sit-down restaurant….. There is a massage hut over here….. Patti checks out the beach area which at this point is fairly deserted, but a steady stream of people are coming in….. To be continued.....
  5. Patti is off and running. Here are some early pool area views before more people arrive….. Women’s bathroom and changing rooms….. The sinks are outside of the bathrooms…. Here are a couple of views of the gift shop….. To be continued……
  6. The Celebration was docked by 7:30am. We decided to skip breakfast again today, but I went down to Javablue for a coffee. The line was very short this morning. Today we are heading over to Paradise Beach. We booked ahead of time online for $64 per person, and we splurged for a daybed for an additional $50. We were off the ship at 8:15am. The Carnival Breeze was just pulling into the pier across the way….. We made our way over to the taxi stand, which at this time was pretty deserted….. The taxi fare for the two of us was $17 plus tip. Fifteen minutes later we were pulling into Paradise Beach….. After checking in we were led to our daybed (#11). This high-top table was also reserved for our use….. We met our servers, and in no time at all I was enjoying my first beer of the day….. To be continued…..
  7. Day # 3 - (4/18/23) - Cozumel (8am – 5pm). We were up at 7am just as the Celebration was approaching the Puerta Maya piers….. The sun is just coming up in the east. It should be noted that ship time is now one hour ahead of Cozumel time, meaning that it’s just 6am here…. Here are today’s Fun Times….. Captain Alcaras spins the Celebration around to back into the pier….. The Carnival Breeze will be in port with us today….. To be continued…..
  8. Wow! This will be another great adventure for you. We will be following along, and especially anxious to see what the Venezia has to offer. We will be on her for 21 days starting September 23rd. Have a safe journey across the pond!
  9. I understand completely. How many of the same cruises have we been booked on, yet somehow, we've never cruised together? I think you're trying to avoid me! Thanks for coming along for the ride again!
  10. Happy wife, happy life! We booked the 6 day cruise before the 15 day one making it a B2B for 2 reasons. First, now we'll be going to and leaving NYC on Saturdays thus avoiding the weekday traffic chaos. Secondly, with all the priority people going on the 15 day, check in will be a little crazy. 😀
  11. Looks more like a blunt. Always a good meal at the Teppanyaki! I believe that it's vodka, triple sec, and some lemon-lime soda.
  12. Here are some more shots of Celestial Strings….. After the show, Patti made her way back to the cabin, while I stopped at the Alchemy Bar for a couple before heading back myself. Here is tonight’s towel animal….. Coming up next: We return to Cozumel and Paradise Beach!!
  13. Next up was Celestial Strings. Sitting in the floor seats has it’s pros and cons. You are right in the center of the action, as the cast performs all around you, which is pretty cool. Sometimes it’s hard to see the action to the side or behind you, but there are very few seats in the entire Center Stage area where you can see everything. Staff will inform you that once the show starts you can’t leave your seat for obvious reasons. If you positively have to leave your seat during the performance, they ask you to raise your hand, and they will tell you when it’s safe to leave. Got it? Patti took close to 80 pictures during the performance, but obviously I won’t post them all. Here are some of her best….. To be continued…..
  14. Renaldo cooks and cuts up the beef….. This is Patti’s teriyaki salmon….. Everyone gets a bento box for dessert…. What a fantastic meal. We were both stuffed. Once we left Bonsai Teppanyaki we were surprised that there were still floor seats available at Center Stage. We went down and grabbed two seats for the Captain’s Toast and Celestial Strings. The Captain’s Toast began at 6:45pm and was hosted by Lee, who then introduced the Senior Staff and Officers….. Lee introduces Captain Alcaras…… Captain Alcaras makes his toast, and it’s over….. To be continued…..
  15. Renaldo prepares the fried rice…… The fried rice is simply delicious! Renaldo starts with the shrimp and chicken, and then adds the veggies….. Patti’s salmon is on the grill…… I’ll be having some of that lobster….. To be continued…..
  16. Tonight, we have a 5:30 reservation at Bonsai Teppanyaki….. The grill is all ready to go….. Chef Renaldo takes our entrée orders….. I've got my Sake Sangria! The following are included and are served to everyone. This is the spicy tuna on the rocks….. This is the white shrimp and pork belly yakitori….. This is the Kabuki salad with ginger dressing and the miso soup….. Renaldo performs some spatula magic….. To be continued…..
  17. At 3pm I made my way to the Pig & Anchor for the ParchedPig Brewery Tour. It was hosted by Robert the brewmaster….. There were plenty of free samples of four different types of beers….. Robert took us into the brewery itself….. This tour was well worth the $30 fee and included a souvenir glass and a free beer coupon. To be continued…..
  18. Cruise Director Lee, and then Captain Vincenzo Alcaras welcomed the Diamond members….. The free drinks were flowing, and we are enjoying chatting with our tablemates Flo and Al. Soon, the food started coming out. Patti and I both started with the crab cake and the house tossed salad….. For our mains Patti had the broiled barramundi, and I had the NY strip steak….. For our desserts Patti had the fruit platter and I had the Citron….. All the food was delicious, and a great time was had by all! Afterwards, Patti was going to go back to the cabin to lay out on the balcony, and I was going to check out the Watering Hole. I grabbed the camera, and on the way to the back of the ship I got these pictures of the St. Jude sculpture by the glass stairway….. I made it to the Watering Hole and ordered my Watermelon Crush….. I took a couple of selfies in the sid_9169 style….. To be continued…..
  19. The Shopping Experts Show is just getting started in the Grand Spectrum Theater…. Some of the cast of Celestial strings are rehearsing on Center Stage….. At noon we head over to the Carnivale Restaurant for the Diamond Brunch….. Here is the new menu. We had enjoyed the old menu, but it was time for a change. We understand that the menu will change every three months now….. To be continued…..
  20. Lee and Marcella are joined by the Food & Beverage Manager who brings along a plate of Beignets from Emeril’s Bistro….. The challenge is to eat one in a single bite. Marcella is up to the challenge….. They end their show by interviewing the ship’s “Shopping Expert”…… After the show Lee offers me a Beignet which I accept, but I told him I’m not eating it in one bite! Lol. Patti gets a few more Havana Bar views….. To be continued…..
  21. Day # 2 - (4/17/23) - Fun Day at Sea # 1 We were up at 7am to a warm, beautiful, and sunny day. Here are the views from our balcony looking forward and aft, as the Celebration makes her way to Cozumel….. The seas are fairly calm….. Here are today’s Fun Times….. We are not eating breakfast this morning since we have the Diamond Brunch at Noon. I head down to get a coffee at Javablue, but the line is so long I just grab a free coffee from the machines nearby. Patti and I spent the next few hours in the cabin relaxing and working on our pictures. We left the cabin at 10:30am to get seats for the morning show (The Wave), which today is being held in the Havana Bar. This was the first time for us not being either in the theater or Center Stage for The Wave. When Cruise Director Lee came in the room before the show, he saw us and immediately came over to us and said hello. We have cruised with Lee on the Splendor, Panorama, Mardi Gras, and now on the Celebration. We got another surprise when we saw Fun Squad member Marcella come into the room. We had just cruised with her on the Freedom where she was the Comedy Show Host. It was great to see her again. Here she poses with Patti….. Lee and Marcella begin the show….. To be continued…..
