  1. I’m looking over at the smoking section on Deck 11 aft on the starboard side….. We will be sailing out this way…. With the zoom on Patti’s camera you can see the Portland Head Light in the distance….. Captain Crescenzo makes the announcement that we will be delayed sailing because one Carnival Shore Excursion had not yet returned. Great. I can feel it getting colder by the minute. Here are some late afternoon port views….. A constant stream of ferries and tour boats sail by….. The Pilot Boat is heading out. That’s a good sign….. To be continued……
  2. Continuing with our day in Portland. We hung out in the cabin until it was almost time for sail away at 5pm. The outside temperature had dropped to about 50 degrees as the sun began to drop, so no way was Patti going outside. She handed me the camera and sent me on my way. I made my way up to Deck 12 aft. The first thing I saw was a whole bunch of little sailboats scurrying around the harbor….. A nice looking yacht was tied up nearby….. Over there you can see the Maine Narrow Gauge Railway….. I check out the Sports Court and the exercise equipment back here….. I’m looking down on the Burano pool from Deck 12….. There are actually people in the hot tubs! To be continued…..
  3. That's Great!!! In one year and eleven months we'll be boarding the Spirit in Seattle!
  4. I was on the same 21 day B2B as Old Fart Cruisers. I played tables mostly in the non smoking annex and had no problem getting drinks. If the pit boss saw that my drink was getting low, he would flag down a server, but most of the time they were checking up on me. 😎
  5. I think you will enjoy the Venezia. It's the same but different. 😁 Journeys cruises are always a lot of fun. We enjoyed the Venezia so much that we dumped our Greenland cruise next September and booked another B2B on her. 😎
  6. Thanks for reading. We got off the ship on the 14th so this is not a live review. They showed three games on the big screen on Sundays plus the Monday and Thursday night games. Same for the Heroes Bar. 😎
  7. We were able to sail and get out of dodge before Ophelia actually hit, just had to deal with some rain for two days. As we sailed out of New York we passed the Norwegian Escape anchored in New York harbor waiting out the storm. 😎
  8. Oh it will, and for all the right reasons! 😁
  9. Hey Cruise Critic family! Today is all about football and beer, so I won't be adding anything on to the review today. Have a great Sunday everyone! 😀
  10. Hey Charlie! Thank you so much for posting more Patti pictures. I know you have a ton of them. I never use my phone to post pictures, but I know that something can be done to prevent the upside down pictures. Can one of the experts here help Charlie out?😀
  11. After we ate we said goodbye to $3 Deweys and made our way back to the ship….. Once back at the cabin, today’s towel animal was waiting for us….. To be continued…..
  12. Now, I have been here several times, and I had thought that the name $3 Deweys had something to do with the bar prices. Boy was I wrong. Patti was about to give me an education…… Wow, a fellow could have quite a night for $6! Lol. Now that I’ve been enlightened, let’s take a look at the beer and cocktail menus….. Here are the food menus…… I order another beer for myself and a Malibu bay breeze for Patti….. We decided to order some lunch. Patti had a bacon cheeseburger…. I had some bacon wrapped scallops and a fish sandwich….. To be continued…..
  13. Patti walks into $3 Deweys and of course I’m on my phone, but I’m enjoying an ice cold Allagash White beer…… Patti took some pictures around the bar….. To be continued…..
  14. Patti continues her walking tour of Portland’s port area….. Patti has arrived at $3 Deweys…… To be continued…..
  15. Patti continues her walking tour of Portland’s port area….. Patti checks out some of the narrow cobblestone streets….. Patti said that there was an insanely long line to get into this donut shop….. Patti continues with her walking tour….. To be continued……
  16. Patti passes through the Ocean Gateway Cruise Terminal….. This is the outside of the terminal….. This is the Maine Narrow Gauge Railway. You can ride it for about $20/pp….. The Norwegian Sky is docked at the Portland Ocean Terminal….. Patti begins her walking tour of Portland’s port area….. To be continued…..
  17. Patti is looking down at the Burano Pool and hot tubs….. She heads down to Deck 10 to get this picture of the Burano Pool & Bar….. Here are a few more pictures of the port area….. Out in Casco Bay you can see Fort Gorges…… It’s now a little after 10 so Patti comes back to the cabin to tell me she is heading ashore. My Husband Daycare, 3$ Deweys, doesn’t open until 11:30, so I will meet her there then. Patti makes her way off the ship. Here is the Carnival Venezia docked in Portland, Maine….. To be continued…..
  18. The Warehouse Arcade is also up here….. It’s strange looking up at the funnel and there is no whale tail….. Patti heads further aft and finds the Sports Court and some exercise equipment….. Patti heads down to Deck 11 where she finds plenty of seating above the Burano Pool area. On the starboard side is the smoking section….. To be continued…..
  19. Continuing aft she finds the jogging track, mini golf, and corn hole….. Here are a couple more Rope Course views….. To be continued…..
  20. Here are the Spritz Bar and the Towel Hut….. Patti checks out the waterslides which start on Deck 15, and end in the Water Works on Deck 12….. Patti heads aft on Deck 12. Here she is looking up at the Ropes Course….. To be continued…..
