Looking forward to all of this!

Jackie,
I have never been asked for my cabin number on any Regent tour - not in the past nor on the cruise I'm on now on the Navigator. I have left tours early on occasion and the above holds true then as well.

The leis are beautiful!
Carolyn, We did see a shark - I don't remember the type though.
I ate all 3 meals in CR - probably a first for me . . . . the highest deck I got to today was 8 - where I live!
Peggy (hoping for calmer seas tomorrow)

I did the Atlantis sub tour and thoroughly enjoyed it - and being in Lahaina!

No ports so far on this Navigator cruise so far but there was always cold water at the gangway as you get off the ship. I was on the Explorer in November/December and that was the case. I would be very surprised if there has been a policy change.
That is NOT the case with Crystal, by the way. There is water at the bar in the Cove if you happen to pass by - and remember to pick it up

I'm sure Nicky had a big grin on her face when she left the Mariner - she had just been on the Explorer, transferred to the M for a month, will be at home and then on the Navigator - a busy woman!
Her replacement - Michael is an outstanding GM and very approachable.

Not meant to be snarky or sarcastic at all and somewhat surprised you took it that way. Sorry if somehow I offended you.
But my question still stands. How are the extra drawers brought in? Are there additional standalone dresser units set up somewhere that have drawers in them? I have not yet been on the explorer - does the cabin have some type of counter that additional drawers can be attached to?
With respect to the lights, again I have not been on the explorer so I'm unclear how the additional lights are implemented. Do they change out bulbs or bring in additional freestanding lighting fixtures.
John,
I'm sorry if I misinterpreted your message - tone is hard to tell with "words only".
The drawers brought to me on the NAVIGATOR were about 24" wide and 4 drawers tall - I had three. I had 2 put in the back of the closet - under the rod - and one next to the couch, nearest to the bed. I had the side table there - glass with a lamp - removed. They were free-standing. I was in a standard cabin.
No extra freestanding fixtures by the bed on the NAVIGATOR so the bulbs must have been changed. And in the bathroom.
And the brighter lights in the bathroom on the Explorer must have been different bulbs.
Hope this helps . . and again - John - I'm sorry I took your words the wrong way.

I was in a Superior cabin on the Explorer last month - the storage there was wonderful - no need to bring in any extra drawers. If you look at the picture, you will see a number of drawer in the desk unit, more under the TV, more in the closet and more storage in the bathroom. Plus the closet was a very good size.
Bathroom lights on the Explorer - no extra fixtures but the lights were brighter - I assumes the bulbs were changed.

Johnthesailor,
I refuse to react to your snarky/sarcastic tone.
I have asked for extra drawers/brighter lights on the Navigator and bathroom/bedside lights on the Explorer and received both promptly and with a smile from the wonderful staff.
I cannot speak specifically about the Mariner since it's been a number of years since I've sailed on her, nor have I sailed in a PH on the ship so don't know the configuration there.
Anyway, Robin - ask and I'm sure you will receive!

Franck is the GM

Robin,
Ask for extra drawers. And brighter bulbs where you need them - bath? bedside?

Your Travel Agent can make the request for the type of bedding you prefer before you board - not a problem. Or you can wait and do it yourself when you get on the ship. It's just not a problem.

I miss playing with you . . . . have fun and good luck!
Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2018 to you and Ray!

Laundry was a perk on the '17WC for all Full Cruisers - close to 300 people. There was no difference in service on that cruise than on any other for the time it took to get our laundry/cleaning/pressing returned.

I was on a walking tour in Rio a couple of years ago and there was a young man who seemed to be following us. After a bit of time had passed and he still was there, I wandered up to the Guide and mentioned it. The answer: he is Security. Glad he was there!

My reaction to RJ2002's comment that the special lines were empty most of the time is that if all the lines were open for everyone, everyone would have boarded quicker . . . . .
Just a thought.

yes, the suggestions are correct - better safe than sorry.
To be honest, I am very careful where ever I travel - my watch of choice is black plastic.
Again - better safe than sorry.

Sheila,
I know Jamie and Dana were on the similar cruise this past summer but don't know if they are doing the one in 2018. I'll ask when i see them and let you know.
