If you are asking about the Golden Eagle Sailaway in St. Maarten, we did that last November.  You can read about it, and see a little highlight video I did in this live review.

The portion on the Golden Eagle Sailaway starts at post 87

Thank you for the info.  I apologize for not posting the port, St Maarten, and ship is Allure. 😁

I can't give you names off the top of my head, but more and more very good wines are going to twist off.

A lot of good white wines have the screw top. I’m talking $30-35 a bottle .  We have visited many vineyards and are starting to notice it.

  3. I redeemed some points through the RCCL visa credit card.  I would like to use the points for an excursion but I have no idea where I would find the transaction on my account with RCCL.  I should say I just redeemed the points today and my cruise isn’t until end of September

Should be able to refer to the app for all the daily events and not carry around the daily compass sheet (or take a picture of it as I did on NCL.)  Also if you pay the $8 fee for messaging you can message other guests that also paid the fee.  Like all other ship messaging, you have to check it often because it does not have notifications to tell you when someone sends a message.

Was the $8 fee per day or for the entire cruise?

You were there a couple yrs ago. You can't remember????

You deemed the food lousy after eating there only once and never went back. You are actually going to eat there more than once this time and don't want to wear dinner attire. Wear your shorts in the windjammer!

If you must know I always cruised  with my husband  who never wore shorts in the mdr and neither did I.  My husband passed away this year and my son is taking the cruise with me instead. He was the one asking the question that I couldn’t answer.  After seeing some of the responses I wish I hadn’t asked.  I never realized it would cause such a stir.

I agree that you are on vacation and if you want to wear shorts eat in the Windjammer.  Show some respect for the rules.  Set a good example.  You knew the rules when you made your reservation,  don't make the rest of us look at your knees at our dinner time.

Haha.  I think that’s so funny.  Seeing someone’s knees would not upset me or ruin my dinner.  I have been to very high end restaurants and in warm weather I have seen men wearing shorts and never thought twice about it.  I have already said I wouldn’t wear shorts in the dining room.  I was asking for my son. 😁

Just got an email at 8:30 last night that our 05/26/19 cruise on the Allure has some itinerary changes.  We will be staying an extra hour in St. Maarten and losing 2 in San Juan, so they can make it to Labadee on time.  This is due to the "propulsion issues" and the fact that they will have to cruise slower. Not really that big of a deal for us.  Just glad that we are still sailing. Excited because we changed our flight (originally flying from NJ at 6:40 a.m. on the 26th) to Saturday afternoon now. Had to suck up some airport fees, but want the peace of mind instead.  Now looking to book a hotel in FLL for the night before we sail. 20 more days!! So excited now!!

I received the same message.  I was disappointed that we have such a short time in San Juan.  They made sure we have plenty of time in Labadee where they make more money than in San Juan.  It’s better than canceling the cruise

  8. We are sailing on the Allure in September and we can now pick our times for MTD.  The earliest time is 6:30? I guess I just assumed it started at 5:30 or 6.  What is the reasoning for that time since it could interfere with an 8:30 show?
