I find myself agreeing with those who argue that inconsistent and capricious application of the rules is partly to blame for some people flouting them. If cruise line staff themselves don't adhere to the rules, it's silly to assume some passengers won't, either. That said, I try to relax and enjoy myself on vacation and spend little time worrying about what others do.

Ditto. Maybe I am wrong, but I don't care if a couple is sharing a drink package. I wouldn't do it but I also wouldn't judge someone who does.

We have been lucky to have met some really nice people at dinner. There was one family who only knew how to talk about how many cruises they had been on and how wealthy they were. Boring!!!!! The two men in the group showed up with tux jackets on and jeans or shorts for pants. The last evening when tip envelopes were handed out they were noshows. I must say they were the butt of a few jokes most evenings by us and our friends. 😁

Does the solarium pool on Freedom have a retractable roof. I notice that the Voyager class didn't but the Radiance class did. On a day of lousy weather, the retractable roof is a blessing.

That's our WJ night. ;)
The last night is always a Windjammer dinner. It's been tradition since tips in envelopes at end of cruise stopped. Usually a quiet evening since we start the sad goodbye.😭

Since I will be on FOS, wouldn't it be nice if rccl has a black Friday weekend sale on board their ships? Such as drink, restaurant, and spa packages. Hey, a girl can wish. 😁

Omg!!! I don't buy fake or real name brand pocketbooks. Not that important. But it sounds like some of you do just to make yourself feel important and the people who have to buy the fakes should be pitied. How sad to judge someone buy what they buy.
-
Personally, I would rather know I am buying a fake bags for $50 than screwed by Coach paying $500 for a bag worth $50. Everyone has an opinion on this and shouldn't be ridiculed for it.😯

I hope that we get to see the ship decorated.
The ship is so beautiful already, but with holiday decorations it must even more
beautiful.

We will be on FOS the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Just curious if the ship will have holiday decorations up. Our cruise is November 26 to December 4.

I see that there is a water taxi and a water shuttle in Fort Lauderdale. Is there much difference between them and if so, which one would you recommend.

Looking at taking an afternoon sail with Sail on SanJuan Bay. I would like to get some feed back from others who have done this.

I have received my edocs and can't remember if I am suppose to print all of the pages, which are many, or just the luggage tags. I already have my sea pass papers printed out.

I received an email at the 47 day mark. I am so anal that when I wasn't notified exactly on the 49th day I thought something must be wrong.😱 I worried for 2 days. I am such a fool. 😀. Enjoy your cruise.

I booked a room with Beach Gardens, which is part of North Beach Village. The location looks great and the price was right. We also booked it for after the cruise. Thanks again.

I am a little confused. I was under the impression that by booking mtd, we can go to dinner when we want to. Booking dinner weeks or even months before you go makes no sense to me. We booked mtd so that we aren't pressed to be there at a certain time. Could someone explain? This is our first time doing mtd on Royal.
-
That would be wonderful if they still have the wine packages. I prefer wine to cocktails.🍷
-
The last time we sailed Royal they had fundraisers for Make a Wish foundation. Are they still supporting that charity or are they supporting a new one now and do they still have fundraisers.
-
I believe they are round $45. each. A little pricy.

Sounds great. Thanks for your help

Has anyone stayed at any of the boutique hotels at the North Beach Village Resort in FLL? They appear to be close to restaurants and shopping. Curious about distance from airport and to cruise port.
-
I would definitely give myself more than 40 minutes. I know you want to see the big jets, so I would get a cab at the ship to Mayo in the morning, spend time on the beach and at the sunset bar watch the big jets come in 12 or 1 then catch a taxi to front street. Do some shopping then grab the ferry back to the ship. The planes are a fun thing to see, but you don't want to miss the ship.

My friend had injections in her face. She spent a few thousand and all she got was a swollen face and was told to stay out of the sun. We docked in Bermuda the next day. She regrets ever doing it.

Thanks for the info. Will probably go to Los Ola's Blvd. Grab something there. We don't need a huge selection.

Does anyone know if there is a place to purchase wine for the cruise near the B Ocean Resort?
