This will be the first time we have cruised to Bermuda in April out of Boston. We usually cruise there in October. For anyone that has, could you tell me what the sailing was like going to Bermuda and what type of clothes should we pack for our stay in Bermuda. I know it will be cooler in April but how much cooler than the fall

We will be on the Dawn sailing in April. We weren't sure if it ran in April.

Does anyone know when the NCL ferry to st George starts running. We will be sailing to Bermuda in April
-
Does anyone know when NCL will be cruising in the eastern Caribbean? All other lines have been going to St. Maarten,St Thomas, BVI for at least a month

Years ago I brought back Bermuda calendars for family. They loved the different scenes each month. The calendars actually got my brother and his wife to start visiting Bermuda.

I would take the ferry that NCL supplies from the Dockyard to St. George, spend some time walking around St George, maybe have some lunch, and then catch a bus (not sure of #) to Aquarium.

My advice to you would be to lay out all your clothes you are packing on your bed, then put out all the money you're taking next to them. Put away 1/2 your clothes and double your money. This works every time I travel.

We rented a Boston Whaler with Somerset Watersports. We had a great time. Picked up lunch and drinks on the way, to pack in the cooler they supply. Had lunch on the beach where the old 9 beaches resort use to be.

The Greenhouse at Bobby's Marina, not far from the ship has good food. Also Holland House. I personally like Taloula Mango's right on the boardwalk. Good wings and drinks. A place I suggest you visit is Juggie's Place. Not for lunch but for fun. Juggie is a great guy and while there get his special of 2 beers and a cuban for $2.99 plus he has his own rum to purchase.

Is your ship docking in St George? You can also rent wave runners at the Dockyard.

If you go to the website, http://www.GoToBermuda.com you can request info mailed to you. They sent me a great map with lots of info including bus and ferry. And a brochure. Received it in less than a week.

You can also purchase a ticket book with 15 tickets good for bus or ferry. Price is $37.50. What you have to remember is 3 people traveling on bus or ferry will need 6 tokens just for one time. No bus transfers. You need a token everytime you get on the bus.

The Carnival Pride arrives October 18 and departs October 20 at noon time.
-
Warwick Long Bay on the south shore has bathrooms, a food truck and chairs and umbrellas to rent. Jobson's Cove is right next door.
-
If your ship is leaving at Noon, then you have to be on board by 11. I might do some last minute shopping but not much else. Crazy time to leave port. What ship are you on?

Your going to love the Boston Whaler. We packed a lunch and stopped at a secluded beach. You also get a cooler with the boat and bread to feed the fish at the Vixen.

I have been wondering if it would be cheaper to purchase the Gosling Rum at their store in Hamilton or on the cruise. I cant remember the price on the cruise but it seemed like a good price at the time.

Last time we cruised to Bermuda we rented a Boston Whaler at Somerset Bridge Watersports. It was wonderful. We stopped at a store and had sandwiches made and got cold drinks because a cooler is supplied. We found a deserted beach and had lunch. We were also supplied with a map and bread to feed the fish at the shipwrecked Vixen. I would definitely recommend this.

We have cruised to Bermuda out of Boston and New York in October. The only time we experienced rough seas was our first full day at sea from New York. The weather is beautiful in October and the ocean is still warm. We cruised once in July to Bermuda and it was much more humid. We are renting for a week this October in Bermuda and I dont believe it will cost us much more to stay 7 days than cruising to Bermuda in a balcony cabin.

My absolute favorite was Richard Spacey. He I'd no longer with rccl. I wonder where he is?

Sailed on FOS 11/26-12/4. Just a few thoughts and observations. The trip was wonderful and the staff on board are great. The food in the MDR was lousy. We ate there once. Rest of the cruise we ate dinner at Chops twice, Giovanni's twice and we found the Windjammer to be better than MDR. Johnny Rockets has great burgers and fries. The entertainment was first rate and not to be missed. One thing I did notice was I never saw so many drunks. Hey I love a few cocktails and glasses of wine, but I truly believe that some people on the drink package, obviously want to get their moneys worth. I am hoping that rccl will do something about their food in the mdr, because I really love cruising with them.

Thanks for the info. I have sprint so should be fine.

Just curious if I will have cell service in San Juan. If I needed to contact the states, I am hoping that would be the best stop for it.

We will be on Freedom of the seas this Sunday. I know a football game will probably be televised. Does anyone know how I can find out which game will be shown?
