DW could sleep through anything, but even she couldn't sleep through this. I've always been sensitive to things that go bump in the night.

We still have a partial family cruise booked on Silhouette next April so we're not dumping Celebrity totally.  But we mainly do the Caribbean and have started to have repeat itineraries.  Time to go farther afield, maybe.

Slightly off topic…we are B2B on Silhouette next April 4 and April 8.  Are either of those your family cruise?  Just wondering…..

  2. Thanks for asking for this info.  I blocked someone months ago, but couldn’t remember how to do it.

For me, it’s the constant status mention, how many cruises they have taken and what a great job their butler does folding their undies. I certainly don’t begrudge them special attention…just don’t need to hear it in EVERY SINGLE POST.

    Rant over. 😵‍💫

hope weather and seas are calmer

we decided years ago that when  we cross the Atlantic, it will be on QM2  an ocean liner. Built for the high seas. (very interesting history)

Caught the  tail end up to Canada on her and she sailed truly smooth..

Good thing you didn’t choose this past weekend to sail on QM2…reports are both that cruise and the following cruise were canceled due to engine problems.  Many passengers were on their way to the port when they were advised of the cancellation.

    Really a bad situation.

  4. Lucky mom to have such great daughters!  I have sailed Reflection a couple of times; most recently, my friends and I had connecting sunset verandahs.  We didn't use the connecting door in the cabin, but did ask the steward to open up the partition on the balconies...easy access and one giant balcony!

    Enjoy; you will love Reflection!

Cautionary note. We are in an SV on this TA and the lounge chairs have been removed from the balconies even the corner AQ suite next to us. Reason given is "safety". Not sure if this is specific to Apex or not. Ability to negotiate an exception is questionable.

I have an SV booked on two upcoming Apex sailings…not TAs.  I am anxious to hear if the loungers will be replaced at the end of your crossing.  Thanks.

Thanks Susan -   This will also be our first time on Apex.    We have have sailed Edge before but always fun to explore a new ship.     If you have any questions let me know and I will strive to find an answer.

Thanks Jim.  I have also sailed on Edge…twice in a SV.  I love, love, love Edge and expect the same with Apex.  It will also be my first solo cruise in a long time, but I expect the familiarity of the ship to be a comfort!  My roll call is very limited so I’ll need to make my own good time 😊.

Safe travels to you and Iain.
