Royal Princess balconies

Has anyone stayed on Marina deck forward? Partially obstructed balcony - not sure what the obstruction is.

I believe they consider the balcony wall itself to be the obstruction: it is steel so you can't see through it, unlike the side and aft balconies that have a clear glass barrier.

Many times....the obstruction is a non-glass balcony wall. Not an issue - iif the balcony is forward facing it is huge! If its not, then it has a metal wall, although M119 was marked as obstructed but its not. Not sure if they have fixed that yet.

Well, to be fair, it can be an issue if one is concerned about the view. Obviously the metal wall is not an issue when standing up. But when seated in one of the provided chairs, the view is most definitely obstructed. The image below appears to have been taken from a standing position. If you ducked down another two feet to a sitting position, the view of the ocean would surely disappear. The view out to the horizon and the sky would probably still be just fine.

It is actually a forward port side partially obstructed balcony so possibly the wall is metal?

Yes. Unless it's m119 or its counterpart on the starboard side. They were supposed to be metal balconies but the design was changed. They were priced as obstructed for a while
