Carnival Modified Cabin #8239

We are considering this cabin for our May 2018 cruise. It is listed as Modified Accessible. I use an electric scooter and I need a room where I can store and charge it. If you have stayed in this room with your scooter could you tell me if you were able to get through the door and how crowded the room was. The travel specialist at Carnival assured me that there was enough room, but I would like to here from someone who stayed there. I do not need the scooter to get around the room, into the bathroom, or onto the balcony.

Which ship?

A modified HC Cabin is basically a regular cabin with grab bars in the bathroom. The door is regular width, approx 21”wide when the door is open.

The scooter needs to be stored in the cabin. The rental companies have scooters that’ll fit thru the doorway.

It is the Carnival Pride. It is one of the few ships that are not on the link provided above. When I called Carnival they told me that my scooter could be up to 22" wide but I just wanted to know how easy it was to maneuver into the room from someone who has done it.
