MarsMc888 Posted October 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2017 My mom was a little bummed about not having a casino on-board the Disney Dream, so I told her she could visit the casino in Nassau. I was later surprised to see only one Port Adventure mentions the casino - and you have to take a 2 hr tour of Atlantis first before you're set free to go gamble. She'll be super annoyed if she has to cut into her gaming time with that stuff so..... Can anyone tell me anything about the casino... is it nice & safe? Is it far from the ship? What's the best way to get there? Thanks all! :D
1025cruise Posted October 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2017 You can just take a taxi to Atlantis.
moki'smommy Posted October 24, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Exactly--no need to take an excursion. You can get a taxi at the port area. And they are happy to take her money! She can also play BINGO on the ship.
Pam Posted October 27, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 27, 2017 There are other casinos in Nassau, Wyndham has one and I think there is at least one more. The Atlantis casino is closest to the dock, and it's large and nice.
meatloafsfan Posted October 27, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 27, 2017 The other big casino in Nassau is the Baha Mar.
dateacher Posted October 27, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 27, 2017 Does anyone know the cost of a taxi to Atlantis?
moki'smommy Posted October 27, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 27, 2017 According to my google search (I put in "Cost of a taxi from cruise dock to atlantis"), the cost should be $4 per person. They say it is a 5 minute drive (which is correct) and you should negotiate the price before entering the cab.

Foodluvr Posted November 3, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 3, 2017 According to my google search (I put in "Cost of a taxi from cruise dock to atlantis")' date=' the cost should be $4 per person. Bahamian taxis are regulated so all charge the same fare.
