Celebrity Eclipse- Miami cruise port evacuation

We arrived at the Miami cruise port on November 13th and were still waiting to be processed after our cruise and around 9 am and suddenly there was an emergency evacuation of the entire building and everyone had to leave immediately. We never found out why and even though I googled it I still don't know why.

Does anyone know?

We were in the customs line after picking up our luggage when the fire alarm went off. We heard an employee tell someone over the phone to stop folks from coming down the escalator to the baggage claim area. Luckily, we were allowed to clear customs and get to our transfer bus to the airport.

As far as what the alarm was actually for, I personally don't know for sure. However, someone said it was because the fire alarm had been tripped.

Well I hope all is well and everyone got off the ship and everyone got on the ship.....

Nothing made the evening News or daily papers....so that's a positive sign. :)
