question for those with school aged kids

when do your kids get done with school (month/date)? I was under the impression that most school are done the end of may-early june. thanks!~:)

most private schools get out towards the end of June. My girls went to school last year until June 20-something. Not sure about the public schools though.

Usually in Texas public schools, the last full week of May.

In Maryland it is usually around the 15th of June.

Massachusetts is late June. Maybe later this year with all the snow!

Here, they are out the last week in May. In South FL, they are out the first week of June. When I went to school, it was mid-June when we got out.

oooooh...i'm jealous. it's so tough to get tickets to Buffett anymore it's ridiculous. I've been about 15 times so far. :o you'll have so much fun. the concerts are awesome, but the people are even better. have a blast!

I have a question...for all the people whose kids school ends in late June...when does it start for y'all? Ours starts mid August and ends last full week of May. Of course, we don't have alot of "weather days" either.

Do your schools have alot of "weather days"?

Out here in Northern California it is mid June out and starts the beginning of September (after Labor day).

End Jun for Public schools in Manitoba Canada. But the High Schools can be earlier and the collages are end Apr/begining May.

In central New York, in most schools, children return to school a day or two after Labor day.

In central Illinois my college daughter is done mid May and my high school daughter is done late May. If we don't use snow days and the high schoolers don't have to take finals (didn't miss more than 3 days in a semester or getting D's or F's) then they should be done May 24th. We leave for our cruise May 26th.

The schools in NY are all on the same basic schedule around labor day until around June 23 because of the state Regents exam schedule - they all need to be in school the same time.

Our spring break is always Holy Thursday through Easter week in our district.

My DD ( 8 years old) is in private school and finishes the 3rd week of June. We live in Toronto, Canada.

Schools in the Kentucky areas normally begin school between the 10-15 of August and are originally scheduled for dismissal around the middle of May but . . . since we have had so many snow days in the past several years it's become the norm to dismiss around the 25th or so that's why our cruise is scheduled for the beginning of June.

In Arizona, it's early May, and in the rural areas (farm areas) it's usually mid May. But in the urban districts in Wisconsin, it's late June because there's a state law prohibiting schools from starting before Labor Day.

In New Hampshire it is June 20 something .... depends on snow days.

In Michigan, public schools usually start the last week in August or right after Labor Day, depending on the school district. Classes usually end around the middle of June. Colleges start around the last week in August and are out in late April or early May.
