NCL PEARL AFT CABIN DECK 8 - any soot? or garbage?

Recommended Posts

I read in one post aft cabins get soot, and noise from engines. Also garbage from decks above. Anyone encounter this on the Pearl?

If you are in an aft facing cabin, you may get a little soot, but we never got any garbage. Can't say about the decks above us (garbage), but you have to realize that the great outdoors is on deck 12. We were on deck 9 aft on other cruises (Pearl), and didn't have any issues with engine noise except when you dock, and even then, it wasn't bad.

OP, I think the only thing I'd worry about in that location is noise from Nite club/lounge which is deck 7. If you love to party, it's no problem, however, if you're looking for a quiet evening... well, you may want to look in a different area, forward maybe. Personally, I love aft cabins, balconies, suites... a little bit of noise is easily offset by the great view and service from the staff.

Enjoy your cruise.
