Pack n Go?

Seasoned cruisers....how does Pack n Go work? How soon before a cruise sets sail do they usually offer this? Are the price differences drastic or just slight? Is it pretty common that they offer these last minute deals? Just wondering! I've always been curious about this.

On Princess Pack & Go is 90 to 60 days before the cruise starts. You don't really save a lot with Pack & Go.
