CJHAN Posted February 22, 2018 #26 Share Posted February 22, 2018 (edited) Could you guys tell it was a smaller ship as far as movement? I’m nervous about getting seasick on the Freedom! I’ve only cruised on Dream and Liberty of the Seas. Sent from my iPhone using Forums I didnt notice any more movement then on the larger ships. dmdiver Posted February 22, 2018 #28 Share Posted February 22, 2018 dmdiver: You mention John & Alex in the dinning room - would you please let me know where the table seating is? Thanks. Linda I don't remember the table number, but it was on deck 3 off the lobby - we walked to the left & toward the back and had a large round table for 6. Head waiter's name is John Alex. I had hoped I had taken a pic of the card on the table, but unfortunately I didn't. Looking at my notes from that cruise, I mention Daria & Chisanga. I know for a fact that Chisanga was not one of our servers, but she passed our table on her route through the dining room & stopped in on us just for fun. We were kind of a lively group. Daria may have been a hostess.
75Vette Posted February 22, 2018 #29 Share Posted February 22, 2018 Thank you for the information. We will be on the Freedom March 31 and have YTD. We like a large sharing table in the center of the bottom deck. We are so spoiled. This is our 40th cruise, 38th on Carnival. Thanks again. Lottacruises Posted April 13, 2018 #33 Share Posted April 13, 2018 John Alex is awesome, friendly guy. Hasn't he moved to valor? By the way, I love the freedom. I love the layout much more than the breeze or newer ships. To each their own though.
dmdiver Posted April 14, 2018 #34 Share Posted April 14, 2018 I think that's what I read - that John Alex was moving to another ship, but then I thought I read that he was going back to Freedom. I guess someone who has been on either of those ships may know.
nutterbutter818 Posted April 15, 2018 #35 Share Posted April 15, 2018 I'll be on the Freedom for the first time next month. I am excited about it even though she is an older ship. I am glad to see so many great reviews.

Oklated Posted May 23, 2018 #37 Share Posted May 23, 2018 I have seen several recommendations to take an extension cord and power strip (no surge protector types allowed) since the cabins only have one outlet. What I have not seen mentioned is whether to take a 2-prong or 3-prong outlet cord. Can I plug in a 3-prong (grounded) power cord in the room outlet? The outlet is on the desk by the phone.
