Sail & Sign Kiosks

JH says that all ships will now have S&S Kiosks that allow you to:

• Check your S&S Balance

• View/Print your Statement

• Apply Payments (Cash and Credit Card)

• Withdraw Cash ($5 or more)

• Change Bills into Smaller Bills (Kiosk will dispense $20 / $10 / $5

Hey... that sounds great!

Does anyone know if there are fees for withdrawing cash from the S&S Kiosk?

Does my ability to withdraw cash vary depending on if I have backed my S&S account with a credit card or with a cash deposit?

Brilliant!!! They should also put the picture buying process in with these kiosks.

Sorry, I do not know the answers to you questions, but I will find out in 17 days and will report back.

IF you do not have cash in your S&S account but just a credit card on file then WHERE will the cash come from??

IF it is considered a cash advance on your credit card then you'll have a BIG fee from your credit card company.

It will be interesting to find out???

In the casino if you pull cash off your credit card to get chips at the table, its not treated as a Cash Advance. Its listed as Entertainment on your S&S statement and just combined with your final bill.

I would imagine they will charge a small fee for withdrawls at the kiosk maybe the same 3% as the Casino.

You only get charged 3% in the casino if you go directly to the casino cashier. I don't know why anyone would do that since you can just download credits from your S&S card to a slot machine without that fee then go cash out the credits. They have changed the process though so that after you download the credits you have to spin the reels at least once so that they can say you aren't useing the machine like an ATM.

True, I only mentioned that to show how they handle cash from a S&S card that is backed with a credit card, without cash advance fees.

So lots of speculation right now... but it seems like nobody knows for sure.

What we really need to know is if there are fees for withdrawing cash... and if it makes a difference if your S&S account is backed with cash or a CC.

Just off the Valor and out of curiosity we used the kiosk early in the week to show our account balance. It was nice to see that we had credits coming from port taxes, so look early instead of waiting until the end to see if you had port tax refundable credits.

You can also do this on the TV in your cabin as well.

So you can't access your accout from the tv? I thought that was the best on our last cruise, I could always find DH by his charges! :D

I am thinking all ships except some of the Fantasy class you can use your TV to check your bill.

I am sailing is 2 days and noticed I have something like 32.00 on my account. I wonder if the port tax credit is why. I have never heard of this. Why do we get it?

cheers
