Well, where I live, it's a bargain. A case of beer (12) at our liquor store (which are NON-privatized) is close to $50. Not kidding.

Ouch!! A 12 pack of 12 oz bud light is 12.00 here in the stores but in restaurants there about 4.00 each.

Yes, big ouch ! But the wages up here would knock you over, so it's all relative I guess.

Do people actually think drink prices in bars/restuarants ANYWHERE should be what they pay for it in the grocery/liquor store? You don't really think that, right? You do know that there's a mark-up, right? :rolleyes:

I pay $2 for a 16 oz bud light at the bars around here, the bars on Carnival....$5.95. Big difference if you ask me.

Prices do suck, but what can you do. I just plan on it and pay. I do enjoy draft beer so it is nice to see the cruise lines offering more alternatives than they dis 8-10 years ago, but the prices do give motiviation to seek out a local bar with a view at port stops though:D

I was comparing our local prices to the local prices in Canada not the ship.

You wouldn't even get a coke in a bar here for $2

$4.50 for a bud light draft? That is equally comparable to going out to the bar here in The District. Beers are easily $4-7 depending on where you go. Sign me up!

Gotta be honest, that place looks COMPLETELY awesome. Is that part of the 2.0 upgrades? Are all ships getting those eventually? It is sooooo cool.

What size are the ciders?

I don't see anything wrong with these prices. it's comparable with a bar on land to me. If you really want to get gouged on beer prices, go to any major league sporting events.
