MSC Voyagers Club is the new loyalty program MSC, which replaces the current MSC Club. The MSC Voyagers Club stands as a new tool to reward loyal customers with interesting new features including:

• Ability to sign up before the cruise;

• Card delivered on board;

• Increased privileges;

• Exclusive offers only for members;

• More discounts and offers dedicated board

But we see in detail how it changes and what changes of the MSC Club:

Completely renovated the discounts on cruises members, instead of the discount according to the degree (5%, 8%, 10% and 20%), it will be introduced a discount of 5% on new bookings valid for all grades of membership and extendable to all occupants of the cabin, as well as valid all year. Also on select sailings (Voyages Selection) published on the website of the Company will be able to obtain up to 15% discount. For members from Silver to Black, in addition to the discount, on select sailings, you will be offered a voucher of 50 euro as onboard credit.

On board instead new benefits include a gift MSC Voyagers Club, a dinner for two at a restaurant for a fee (drinks not included), a free photo and other delightful surprises.

That's very disappointing for Black card members..... and those (like myself) aspiring to obtain their black card. Losing your 20% discount is hefty.

Mikesa1721: I assume those are total points for the duration of your cruise and not how many points you obtain per night?

Looking forward to seeing the English version of the chart to see how it actually affects me.

Some people who have been bemoaning that inside cabins got the same points per night as the Royal Suite should be happy

And, they pointed out as well that the insiders got extra spend points for buying the AI package so could get to BLACK quicker than a YCer.

They must be happy about that but a what cost?.

The loss of the HUGH benefit of 20% discount and remember the kid's free places are going, or have gone already.

MSC are now not going to have the price advantage they used to have and bookings will probably suffer.

Look out for big reductions, at short notice, when they new vessels come into service

What a shame Pete!!! Now it really seems advantageous for those of us trying to reach Black Level to book YC since you can no longer earn points for onboard spending. I'm thinking this revolves around the idea to put more money into TA's pockets by eliminating the need to reserve to earn points, but rather pre-pay to earn the TA more commission!!

The new Club launches on the 19th July next. Will the points system be implemented from that date on current bookings, I wonder?

I'm soooo glad that I made the latest 3 bookings in the last month - while the 20% discount was in place!

I've been hearing rumors on the MSC Italian boards that the 5% discount across the board isn't set in stone yet and that can change,,,,I'm crossing my fingers but not very hopeful,,,,guess I'll try and aspire for the dance lesson and chocolate ship(Sarcasm),,,,but I'd be happy with priority embark/disembark as well as priority tender/shore lines once I hit Black Level!!!:)

So no rush to earn the extra 8 points required for a Black card then ... :( the usual idea is to improve extras for those with the highest level of membership not water them down!

Yes you do

HERE is a quote from the MSC UK site

) PRE-PAID ON BOARD SERVICES: MSC Voyagers Club members will earn 100 points every €150 spent on packages and services booked prior to boarding*.

*For currencies other than € euro, the currency conversion on purchase day will apply.

3) ON-BOARD EXPENSES: You will earn 100 points for every €150 spent on board (excluding casino expenses). Assigned points for on-board expenses (including pre-boarding purchased shipboard credit) will only be applied to the MSC Voyagers Club Card holder making the final payment.

You'll still be able to gain points for onboard spend, Mike:

2) PRE-PAID ON BOARD SERVICES: MSC Voyagers Club members will earn 100 points every €150 spent on packages and services booked prior to boarding*.

*For currencies other than € euro, the currency conversion on purchase day will apply.

Instead of 1 point for every 200€/$ spent, you'll get 100 for every 150€/$ so more points for less spend!

Haaaaa Bea!!!! As long as it has bubbles,,my girlfriend will drink it!!!!

A girl after my own heart, so, Mike.:D

You'll have to attend the Black Card party to receive your chocolate ship if I'm reading the benefits list correctly.:eek:

Gee, I'm reeeeaaallllly looking forward to my September trip in the YC now to see just how this is going to pan out. If I get 1500 points for the cruise that will equate to having had to spend €1600 on board under the current system!!! I wonder what the benefit will be for Black Card holders in accruing all these extra points :confused:

Have you noticed that points now have a "USE BY DATE" (as they had in the beginning)

For how long are points valid?

Points earned at the end of a cruise have a validity date of 36 months from the date of disembarkation. You will need to complete at least one cruise in 36 months since your last

disembarkation date to extend your membership for another 36 months from your last disembarkation date.

I really don't see any monetary benefit from becoming a Black Level member Bea,,,you still receive the 5% discount like everyone else,,,just a few extra perks,,but I feel bad for the current Black Level members because they have lost a very valuable perk,,,20% discount!!!
